I knew from the moment that I stepped into the car that this was going to be one of the hardest talks of my life. I studied Masey’s face as I adjusted myself into the passenger seat. Her face was blank, but her eyes seemed perked with curiosity. “Is it about May?” she asked finally. I took a deep breath to calm the anger that filled me. When she said May’s name, I couldn’t help but notice the chill in her tone. “Kind of, but let me start,” I said.
