Casco spent most of the next day building a few different Serik sets, all of them using the cable and swages he bought from Whitney’s shop. Each finished rig looked a bit like some sort of trapping web, but for him, it was pleasant work and from time to time, he went to the basement to measure a wrist, waist, neck or ankle to make sure that the fit was perfect. When he was finished and the copper swages were polished brightly, they would have passed as acceptable formal jewelry, Whitney assured him when she tried on the set made expressly for her.
