ESCAPE

606 Words
I grew up in a small village in a remote corner of our country. Life was simple but hard, and most of us were content with the way things were. We spent our days working in the fields, playing in the river, and helping our families with chores. Our village was isolated and cut off from the modern world, and we were taught to fear and mistrust anything that was different from what we knew. But everything changed when a group of missionaries came to our village. They were kind and loving, and they showed us a different way of life. They told us about God and how He loved us unconditionally, regardless of our background or circumstances. They spoke of a life of peace, joy, and purpose, and we were captivated by their words. At first, many of us were hesitant to accept this new way of life. We were comfortable in our traditions and didn't want to abandon them. But as we got to know the missionaries and their teachings, we couldn't deny the truth and love in their words. Slowly, our village began to change. The missionaries helped us build a church and taught us how to pray and worship. We started to see the world in a different light, and we realized that there was more to life than just surviving. We learned about forgiveness, compassion, and the power of love. But not everyone in our village was open to this change. Some saw the missionaries as a threat to our culture and traditions. They spread lies and rumors about them, trying to turn us against them. They even tried to trap us into rejecting our newfound faith by using fear and manipulation. One day, they gathered all the villagers and accused the missionaries of stealing from us and poisoning our minds. They threatened to harm the missionaries if we didn't denounce our new beliefs. We were torn and scared, not knowing what to do. But then, one of the missionaries stood up and spoke with such conviction and love that it touched our hearts. He reminded us of all the good things we had learned from them and how our lives had changed for the better. He also reminded us of God's love and how He would never abandon us. In that moment, we made a choice to trust in God and stand by the missionaries. We refused to be trapped by fear and turned our backs on our old way of life. Our village was divided, but those of us who chose to follow God and serve Him were filled with a newfound courage and strength. We helped the missionaries escape from the village and continued to meet secretly to worship and pray. As time passed, more and more villagers joined us, and our church grew. We faced many challenges and struggles, but our faith and love for God carried us through. Today, our village is a completely different place. The missionaries' teachings have brought about positive changes in our community, and we have become a source of hope and inspiration for neighboring villages. We are no longer trapped by fear and ignorance, but instead, we are free to serve and love God with all our hearts. Looking back, I am grateful for the missionaries who came to our village and showed us the way to God. They helped us escape the trap of our old beliefs and opened our hearts to a life filled with purpose and joy. I am proud to say that me and my village friends are now serving God and spreading His love to others.
