No. Renaming a large body of water in Europe after Woodrow Wilson would be almost as laughable to your latter-day neocon Yank as calling it Lake Jimmy Carter. The Europeans, in their pinko intellectualism, probably wouldn’t think that was so ridiculous, either. Victims of their own sophistication, those Continental schoolchildren, they are taught more American history in grade school than most Americans will ever learn in a lifetime of watching Fox News.
For all their regional rivalries, infighting, and centuries-old cultural differences, Europeans will never come to grips with a basic truth. They will never appreciate how stupid we are, and how, fiercely proud of our ignorance, we just do f**k-all, whenever we please. That’s the American Way. That’s freedom, dude.
