12 The revenants didn’t waste time. They lunged at us, their sharp teeth bared, their claws out. Kane swept his swords wide, grazing his blade across the chest of a revenant, but he let out a long groan as he clutched his shoulder. He was still hurt from the t*****e, still weak. A protective feeling inundated me, and I channeled my power. These revenants would be sorry for having disturbed our night. The heat of my fire filled my veins, burning me up.
