With his hands behind him, Felix walks around in the somewhat laboratory of the headquarters. A headquarters that is located somewhere in Earth, but invisible for people. His eyes examined every deformed body figure in their own cryocapsule, with oxygen mask on their mouth, and their body being soaked in a green, somehow viscous liquid. His eyes landed on the pad infront of a certain cryocapsule.
He knits his brows as he reads the pad. "Odd," He looks up at the almost formed human body. "You're forming faster.." He uttered under his breath as his eyebrows still knitting together. Confusion and curiosity is ruling in his mind as he tries to process in his brain its certain possibilities and reasons. "But," He walks away from it then walks towards to his own cryocapsule where he first gained conscious and eventually made him the first ever emotion and the top emotion that most of the people felt.
He looks down on his pad. His current records. "Hmm." He still has the highest record. Which means, many people are currently feeling him... but how is it possible for that deformed figure to grow faster than how every deformed figures do. He heaves a deep sigh.
"This can't be..."
"Felix?" He turns his head to face the feminine voice that called his name. "Hm?" He raises one of his eyebrows then he realizes the identity of the woman. "Oh, Shangbei. Yes?" He also turned his body to face her. "May I help you?"
The blue-ish skinned lady slowly hugs herself. A self habit she got. "You've been walking around here for what feels like an hour or two." She looks up at the tall, masculine, light yellow skinned man.
A small sly and playful smirk plastered on Felix face. "Oh? Were you spying on me, Shangbei?" His lips formed into a grin as as he asked the question.
"Why would I?" She asked after rolling her eyes.
He formed a small pout with his lips. "I don't know, maybe because you like me? Or such?"
Shangbei, who always lacks of energy and a slight droopy eyes— an agreeable definition of her being the emotion of sadness, was not expecting Felix's remark. Her droopy eyes suddenly widened and got stunned by it. "E-Eh?! Wha— No!"
Amused with her reaction, Felix released a soft laugh. "Well, that's new of you." He teasingly leans in. "Are you perhaps flustered because you've been caught?" Raising both of his eyebrows, he asked with a playful tone.
Her blue-ish cheeks got red for some reason. She immediately pushed him away from her distance. "For peep's sake, Felix!"
He laughed as she pushed him away.
"I have no time for this nonsense! I just happened to see you walking around here and watched you wonder for who knows how long." She reasoned out. Felix raises his hands in surrender.
"Alright, alright." He released a soft chuckle. "No need to be so defensive. Geez, Shangbei." He ruffled her short hair, messing her bangs. Shangbei puffed her cheeks as she slightly glare at the tall man. Fixing her hair, she moves away from him.
"Oh—" His attention suddenly diverted to an almost deformed being, making its way to her own cryocapsule.
"Admira?" Shangbei called out to the light rosy pink skinned woman. But now she's getting paler and her hands are not in complete form anymore. It always the hands that got affected first once an emotion will deform again into an incomplete figure.
Admira, the emotion of admiration plastered a weak smile on her face as she noticed the two when she stepped her right leg in her cryocapsule. "Oh, its you guys." She said in a weak soft voice.
Without hesitation, the two of them approached the weak emotion.
"What happened?" Shangbei blinked her eyes before continuing her words. "You were so healthy a while ago." Slightly pouting as she finished the sentence.
"Now, you look," Felix tilted his head as he examined the weak emotion. "Weak." He continued. Admira chuckled softly then nods.
"Well, some human was unfortunate." She simply answered.
"Probably got rejected, huh?" Felix guessed. Admira giggled then shrugged her shoulder as she said. "Who knows?"
"Maybe." She added.
"How sad." Shangbei commented. The two of them glances at the blue-ish woman when the center of her chest lights up with a light blue light, a representation that a certain human from earth had felt her deeply.
She brought her hand on the center of her own chest as she slowly caressed it with her fingers. Closing her eyes as she mumbled.
"Poor human." She sighed. "You don't deserve such feeling." She purses her lips as she continued to mumble. "Nobody deserves sadness."
"Don't say that, Shangbei. People needs you to gain realization." Felix said. Shangbei looked at him, concerned.
"But,"
"Felix is right." Admira agreed. Despite from feeling bad for the people on earth, Shangbei just smiled. Admira nodded then plastered a small smile at her as she steps his other feet in the cryocapsule then she wears her mask despite of the incomplete fingers.
Both of them stepped back as her cryocapsule closes itself. They watched the green liquid filling the cryocapsule as Admira slowly closed her eyes, looking deeply asleep.
Shangbei released a deep sigh. "Let's go and avoid coming in here,"
He raises one of his eyebrow at her. "Hm?"
"You're not deforming again anyways and I don't think you'll ever do. You might interrupt the growth of the deformed figured emotions. We won't know what will happen if so." She stares at Felix in his eyes as her face writes no emotions on it.
"Remember that the humans are our main responsibility." She added.
"Geez, yes. I know." He walks towards her then wraps his arm around her shoulder then starts to walk with her towards the exit of the cryocapsule lab.
"You're always serious, Shangbei. Geez." He commented. "Don't act like its my first time to act like this." She said as she slightly rolled her eyes. Felix, as enthusiastic as he is, laugh at her remark with a comment. "Of course!"
He turn his head on the other side of his shoulder, slightly looking back at a certain cryocapsule. It doesn't make sense everytime he thinks about it. He's been holding a title for quite a while now. Approximately more than numerous centuries. He can't let it gone to waste now. Nobody can replace him. There is no way.
