I watched Cassie as she paced up and down in front of the fireplace. I knew her well enough to know she was putting a brave face on, the things her uncle had said had affected her more than she was saying.
Aiden and Kyle had carried Marcus back to the cells to lock him up. I suspected he would be coming round from his concussion very soon. The cuffs should keep him in check for now though. I sent Conner and Kerry to see if Mungo had been affected by the spell on the castle. He may be the only one able to help us break it. Cassie had asked that I carry her grandmother through to lie on top of her bed. She felt she looked so undignified slumped in her chair. I had to agree. Sleeping spell or not, she was our leader and seeing her lifeless form across the arm of the chair seemed wrong.
