Lila sat in her tiny apartment, the journal open on the kitchen table. Her hands trembled as she flipped through the pages, each one filled with poetic words that felt both foreign and eerily familiar. The entries spoke of a love that transcended time—a connection forged in lifetimes past. Yet, it was the details that unsettled her. They described moments from her own life: the small scar on her wrist from a childhood fall, the sunflower pendant her grandmother had given her, and even the tiny birthmark near her collarbone. Her heart raced as she read the final entry: “I’ll be waiting for you. Find me in the places we once knew. I’ll always find my way back to you.” A knock on the door startled her, breaking the spell of the journal. She hesitated before opening it to find a man standing there. He was tall, his dark hair damp from the drizzle outside. But it was his eyes that caught her—stormy gray, just like the man from her dream. “I’m sorry,” he said, his voice low and hesitant. “I think you have something that belongs to me.” Lila froze, clutching the journal. “Who are you?”
