I will decide when the day comes. I woke with those words still running through my head. I didn’t understand how Lucifer could say something like that. Out of all of them, how could he be the undecided one? He lost his first love tragically. Promised me he would never hurt me, never leave me. Yet he did hurt me. And now, after vowing he would make it up to me. Vowing he would spend how ever long it takes to make me trust him again. He pulls this? Who cares if he thought I was sleep. Those words never should have left his mouth. Our relationship should be a sure thing in his mind. Not something he could easily throw away over a creation of his.
“Belle” Raphael’s voice called to me sleepily. I turned to face him, fully expecting to find him awake. But he wasn’t. He was still sleeping, calling out for me. His face was pale, his brows furrowed. Tension pulled at his features. Whatever he was dreaming about, it wasn’t good. “Belle” He called again, more desperate this time. His grip on me tightened, a groan hissing through his clenched teeth.
“Raphael?” I murmured, trying to soothe the lines between his brow with my finger. “Raphael, I’m right here.” I called. “You’re dreaming.
“No.” He ground his teeth together painfully, shaking free from my touch. “No. Belle.” His voice grew louder.
I wiggled free from his grasp and sat up to hover above him. “Raphael. Raphael, wake up.” I called, grasping him by his shoulders and shaking him firmly. “I’m right here my love.” Raphael, didn’t respond. He just kept groaning, sweat starting to cover his brow. What was going on here? “Raphael.” I shouted, shaking him harder. “Raphael, wake up.”
Thankfully his eyes snap open. They were wide, puffy and red. When they focused on me I watched as they began to water, and tears ran down his cheek. He bolted upright and pulled me into him, holding me tightly against his chest. I have no idea what his nightmare was, but I knew he needed this. So I climbed onto his lap and settled myself there. I snuggled myself into his chest and burrowed my head under his chin. “It’s alright my love.” I whispered, wrapping my arms around him. “I’m right here.”
“But you weren’t.” He mumbled into my hair. “Yesterday. Last night. What happened to you.” Raphael shook his head, clinging to me tighter.
“I know.” I sighed. “I still don’t completely understand it. And I am sorry it worried you so badly.” I pulled away and looked into his shimmering amber eyes. “But look at me right now. I’m right here. I’m okay.”
“It didn’t just worry me, Belle.” Raphael whispered, leaning his forehead against mine. “It completely and utterly terrified me. I thought I was going to lose you.”
“Honestly.” I whispered. “I thought you was too. There was a moment there when I felt I wasn’t going to make it back. Where I could feel myself getting lost. But you, the others. Just thinking of all of you brought me back. Thinking of how much I love you.” I nuzzled my nose against his, a soft smile playing on my lips. “I won’t lose you. Any of you.”
“And I will not lose you.” Raphael whispered, his amber eyes piercing into mine. So intense, so fierce they stole my breath. The promise in them, the vow and determination I could see in them as he spoke made my heart speed up. This man, the one we all hated at first for what he done. The one we all so severely misjudged. Was sitting before me, vowing to keep me safe. And I knew he would. The look in his eyes told me he would do nothing less.
“I know.” I whispered, closing the slight gap between us and pressing my lips against his.
Our kiss started slow, gentle. Both of our fear and hurt from the previous night leaking into it. It didn’t take long for it to become more passionate as our love for one another took over. And I did. I loved this man, this angel with everything I had. I made sure he knew. I poured everything into our kiss.
Raphael, picked me up to and lay me back on the bed, covering me with his body. All while never breaking apart. His tongue ran along the seam of my bottom lip seeking entry which I gladly gave. His tongue danced with mine, he tasted of the most decadent chocolate that made a slight moan slip from my throat. The sound made Raphael growl, his fingers threading through my hair. My breathing turned heavy as he moved his kisses over my jaw and down my neck. Across my throat. He nipped my neck making me shudder under him.
Beating him to what I know he wanted to do I leaned forward, griped the hem of his shirt and tugged it over his head. I marveled at the perfection that was him. perfectly sculpted muscles, broad shoulders. I trailed my hands over every inch of exposed skin, memorizing him by touch and sight. He may not be as largely built as Michael or Lucifer, but damn. Raphael was still perfection. Beautiful in evert sense of the word. I smiled up at him as I sat up, pressing soft kisses against his chest. I copied him, moving up across his collar bone, up the hallow of his throat across his neck where I bit down gently. That made a groan escape him, his hands digging into my hips as he held me to him. When my lips met his again, our kiss was full of our built up passion and lust for each other. Our love and need.
Raphael pulled away long enough to rip my nightgown over my head. (I have no idea how I got into one) before claiming my lips again. His hands roamed my body freely. I moaned into the kiss when he groped my breasts, massaging them in his large hands. Since I wasn’t wearing a bra it made it easier for him, his fingers rolling my hardened buds between his fingers making me arch into him, breathing heavily. I groaned when Raphael broke our kiss, making him laugh. But he just gently lay me back on the bed, hovering over me as his eyes took me in. “So beautiful.” He murmured. Leaning down and kissing the tip of my nose. “So perfect.”
I didn’t have time to respond before he sucked one of my breasts into his mouth. I groaned as he suckled my breasts, his hand siding down my body until it reached my heat. He easily found where I wanted him, slowly circling my swollen nub. My hands shot to his shoulders, my nails digging in as my body arched. I couldn’t help the moans that fell from my lips as he teased me.
“I do not think I can wait much longer.” Raphael growled against my chest, his amber eyes blazing when I looked down at him.
“Then don’t wait.” I panted, pulling him up to me and pressing his lips to mine. Somehow Raphael managed to slip out of his pants while we were kissing, but I wasn’t about to ask questions. I could feel him as he pressed himself against my entrance. He moved himself back and forth teasing both of us. A playful smirk playing on his lips when he pulled away to look down at me.
“I have wanted you since I met you.” He murmured, kissing down my neck. “I love you Belle.”
“I love you too Raphael.” I whispered.
With those words he thrust into me. I cried out, not expecting the girth or length of him. I didn’t exactly look. But damn. Raphael though, must not have noticed. And I didn’t expect him to. His entire body shuddered when he entered me, his eyes falling closed. When he opened them again, hunger blazed within them. He pulled out of me, then pushed back in harshly. I cried his name, bringing my legs up and wrapping them around his waist for leverage.
This didn’t help. If anything, it gave him incentive. Raphael growled, as he began thrusting into me rapidly. I’ve come to realize there was nothing slow about these angels. All they knew was rough, fast and hard. Not that I was complaining. I gripped Raphael’s shoulders; his thrusts became harder. His groans mingling with my own. I thrust my hips up to meet him, thrust for thrust. I knew it was driving him crazy. There was a wildness in his eyes that I’d never seen. That I was enjoying. That wildness though eventually won out. Raphael gripped my wrists and pinned them beside my head. He draped his body over mine heavily to stop my thrusts, while his own became erratic.
It came from nowhere. I screamed my climax, colors danced before my eyes. Raphael’s roar told me he finished with me but his pace never stopped. It got harder, faster as he rode both of us through our finish. When he rolled off of me, we were both left sweaty and panting. But the smile on Raphael’s face could brighten the darkest of rooms.
“I never knew something could feel so…so…”
“Amazing?” I questioned.
“Yes.” He turned to me kissing my temple. The familiar burning sensation started on my neck making me hiss. I slapped my hand over the spot knowing what was happening. But unsure what the mark would be this time. I still wasn’t sure how to use the other marks, not completely. “Belle. Are you alright?” Raphael’s eyes looked at me with concern.
“It’s your mark.” I mumbled, sighing when the burning stopped.
“Let me see.” He gently moved my hand, wiping my hair from where the mark was so he could get a better look. “Well, it is beautiful. Just like the others.” He told me. “This one though, means healing.” He put my hair back and looked me in the eyes. “Seems you have all six now right? Knowledge for Uriel. Mind for Azrael. Protection for Gabriel. Fire for Lucifer. Sword and shield for Michael. And now healing for me.”
“Seems that way.” I whispered, curling myself into his side.
“We need to go find the others my Belle.” Raphael said kissing the top of my head. “Let’s go get cleaned up.” I groaned, but got up and followed behind him. I wonder if anything would happen now that I had all six marks. Or was that all? I just got six marks and nothing else happens. It didn’t matter, I could deal with that later. I had too much to deal with as it was. The possibility of the sins, my powers, learning to control my marks. The horsemen, the war in heaven. Lucifer. It was all too much right now. One thing at a time. I told myself. One thing at a time.
