She couldn’t remember how they managed to get home, but they did. Georgina drove while Damien followed them, even though he had been told not to.
So they had to come up with a plan. They made a stop at a random hotel first, only to exit through the back as soon as they checked in. They didn’t even go up to the room.
“How are you feeling?”
Georgina didn’t look worried. Aside from a bit of dirt on her pants, she looked unharmed. However, Vanessa was visibly shaken. It had been a close call. She couldn’t imagine what might have happened if Damien hadn’t arrived.
“If you’re thinking that fool saved us, think again,” Georgina said as she set a glass of water in front of her. They were in the kitchen at the moment.
