CHAPTER SIXTEEN
Layla had been drinking tea on the back patio with Prudence and Lyssa when Lyssa’s phone rang. She hadn’t seen Ruger since he dropped her off there that morning. The phone call he’d got at breakfast played on her mind.
She should’ve got the full story. Under Ruger’s advisement, she couldn’t use any of the phones in the Warner house to call Drew for more information. That meant until Ruger reappeared, she couldn’t get the full story. Trusting that he would come to her as soon as he could, she was surprised to learn he was calling Lyssa.
