Chapter 6

1255 Words
She can't... breath! Kath held onto her stomach, as she could now feel an unbearable sharp jabbing pain with a burning sensation in her upper right abdomen. It felt like her stomach was bleeding and the same time, on fire. Even as time passes by, it felt like the organs in her stomach were about to pop out as the pain kept on increasing supplementary. Not only was she feeling this unbearable pain inside her abdomen, but even her breath seems like it has been... taken away. She could not breathe, she was finding it difficult. It seems like something was blocking her lungs and Nostrils. Even when she tried to call for help; she just couldn't voice it out. Kath silently wondered if she has turned dumb or the unbearable pain in her stomach wouldn't let her utter a word. At this point, she knew she was doomed. Completely doomed! Kath could see, 'death.' She felt so weak and she knew was dying slowly and painfully, in a terrible way. The battle hasn't even started and she is about to die? Just like that? Even though she was destined to die, she should have at least died fighting and not like a weakling, that she isn't. But, the most shocking part of them all was that, despite all the pain, she still maintained that eye contact with Stephen. Not that she wanted to, but she just couldn't get her eyes off his. Something unexplainable was drawing her eyes to look deep and deeper into his b****y eyes, and with those eyes, he was doing all these terrible things to her. What she also couldn't explain was, how he manages to maintain that steady eye contact with her and still defeats the soldiers. More and more soldiers kept running to him, but he throws them away like a weightless log of woods. Well, the guy in question was no longer an ordinary person, or the Stephen they used to know, so it is quite understandable. Kath and the people of Nazirites would admit to the fact that whatever possessed him was so... powerful. Kath was been pulled out from her thoughts when she found out that her hands were moving in the direction of her sword. She became even more frightened when she realized that, her hands were moving on their accords. She knew something terrible is about to happen to her, probably, he would use this sword to cut off her head. Her heart hammered inside her rib cage when she felt her hand getting a hold of something, which she knew perfectly was the handle of her sword. Immediately her hands got a hold of it, a mischievous smile crept through Stephen's lips. In less than a second, he had a straight face on, as his jaw clenched. Yeah, a warning. Just as she has said, something terrible would happen to her. Well, at least, this was an opportunity to see her dead mom, cause she knew death was already in need of her. Her grip on the sword tightened, and slowly her hands began to move up with the sword still in her grip. Once it got to the height of her head, it stopped. But, the silly aspect of this all was that the sharp edges were not aimed at Kath's head. The sharp edges were aimed in Stephen's direction. Kath silently wondered if this was like a plot twist, or he had other intentions best known to him. Kath could see it from the side of her eye that the remaining soldiers were still trying their utmost best to defeat Stephen. Some even throw arrows at him. Even when an arrow manages to get to him, he pulls them out without any hint of pain. Is there a way to defeat him? If all the fighting tools they have can't put him down then, there is no hope for the people of Nazirites; most especially, "Kath," cause she was more or less a helpless or dead person. In one swift motion, the King was right in front of Kath, a few meters away from where she was. Both hands were held behind him by Stephen's right hand. Immediately, Stephen uses his left hand to wrap her father's neck; choking him mercilessly from behind. The King's eyes have turned b****y red; his capillaries almost popping out from his eyes and the struggle he had to go through to take in a breath was just too obvious. His face has turned completely red; his face was screwed up as he struggles to get Stephen's hands off his neck, but it was fruitless cause Stephen was way too powerful than him. Kath wondered how her dad had ended up in this situation. Was he trying to save her and then he got captured by Stephen. Gosh! Her dad shouldn't have been this selfless to consider attacking Stephen who now seems to appear undefeated. Even the Soldiers had confusion written all over their faces. Her dad was used as a threat, cause whatever arrow that is been aimed at Stephen was also aimed at her dad because he was standing right in front of Stephen. There is no way out! No way! Hold on... Now she is beginning to understand everything. The realization just dawned on her that, the sword was no longer aimed at Stephen, but it was aimed at her dad! Mentally, her eyes rolled back into her head, and her heart jumped into her mouth when Stephen's intention rang like a bell inside her head; he was going to manipulate her to kill her dad. She would regret this even in her next life. She won't forgive herself if she happens to kill her dad: the king. All the blames will be on her. Besides, why isn't she dead already? For God's sake, she can't breathe! The torment and pain Kath was bearing is enough reason to be dead by now. Normally, anyone in the situation she was, would have been dead a long time ago. Stephen had other intentions. For the fact that she is still alive, Stephen would use her for evil deeds before he finally takes her life. Now she gets it, Stephen was sparing her life, so she could accomplish a mission for him, which is, "killing her dad," after which, he takes her life immediately. Wow! Just, wow! But, why must it be her? Not that she wants him to kill her dad, but, the opportunity to kill her dad was right in front of him. He could easily take his life if he wants to. He just wants to make a record in Nazirites that the Princess of Nazirites killed her dad. Well, that is, if that name, "Nazirites," will be in existence after this great tribulation that has fallen on them. "You know, this is the moment I have been waiting for. This has always been my dream, and yes! I will accomplish it, in fact, I have done that already. Finally, I get to see when a daughter kills her dad..." Stephen laughed hysterically and continued, "There is just one question I need to ask you, even though your answers aren't needed." He turned his head and whispered directly into the king's ear, " Are you ready to be killed by your daughter?" And even without letting the question sink into his head, he snapped his fingers as the Sword in Kath's hand left her grip. And that's it! She killed her dad!
