The reflection of the sunlight, signifying that it was daytime, had almost blinded her vision. She slowly opened her eyes, making sure she was careful enough not to let the reflection of the sunlight to probably, blind her vision. Once her eyes were fully opened, she roamed her eyes around her environment and the realization dawned on her that, she was still in Ravana's possession.
