Chapter 2

June 7, 1984 (1000 Years Later.) Unfortunately, that generation has passed away. That generation and other ones to come have faded away, and now, they are in the 20th generation. And just like an expectant, a lot of training has been going on in Nazirites: Just like an expectant with no hope, they had trained immensely every day, with the constant sounds of blades of swords, slamming hard on each other, which could be heard almost every day of their lives. Kath stood firmly on the ground. Her left foot is her leading foot and the right foot to the back. Her hips faced her opponent as both hands held firmly to the handle of her sword: one hand at the top and the other at the bottom. She stared fiercely at her opponent with the blade of her sword on the right-hand side of her opponent's neck. Silence engraved the scene, not until Kath's opponent brought down his sword and had surrendered with no hope at all. The people of Nazirites cheered with applause as, again, their princess had won a sword fight. "Of course, no one, except the king, can defeat the princess of Nazirites, not even Akuma." Said someone amidst the crowd as he joyously celebrated with the people of Nazirites. Kath smiled at her opponent as she brought down her sword, bowing down slightly at him. Her opponent smiled faintly at her as he also bowed down. He was at a loss of breath after fighting for about twenty minutes and his clothes had been drenched with sweat. He, however, couldn't utter a word as he was still trying to catch his breath. Within him, he knew he had broken the record as the second strongest swordsman in Nazirites because he had been defeated by the princess of Nazirites. Not only by the princess of Nazirites but by a young woman who had just started sword training some years back. He was a little bit disappointed as he believed those few who had believed he would win the swordfight would be equally disappointed as him. Nevertheless, he had come down here with little or no hope that he would win the swordfight. Even though he has been trained for thirty years, the skills of the princess of Nazirites, still stand out. "My daughter has now defeated Akuma!" Said the king as he stepped amid the people with two men, at his right and his left-hand side, who seemed to be his bodyguard. A smile crept over the king's lips as he placed his right hand on Kath's shoulder with his eyes boring into her's. Hence, he continued, "but of course, no one can be stronger than his or her teacher, or can he?" The king asked as he diverted his gaze from his daughter to the people of Nazirites. The people of Nazirites replied with, "No!" in unison. He turned again to look at his daughter directly into her eyes, "But I, the king of Nazirites would wish for my daughter, the princess of Nazirites, to be stronger and braver than I am. Perhaps, when I give up the fight, she will be strong enough to take over from me." Kath chuckled as she turned to look at her dad, "I don't think that's a possible dad! You've been the strongest, the undefeated, and the almighty swordsman that has been fighting for over forty years. There's absolutely no way, I, who just started sword fighting some years back, would defeat you!" Kath replied and the people of Nazirites murmured in agreement. Even though they knew Kath to be an undefeated swordswoman, they knew within them that there was no way she would defeat the king who had been sword fighting for a very long time and had won so many battles. The king removed his hands from Kath's shoulder as he turned to address the people of Nazirites who were gathered all around the king and the Princess. "People of Nazirites, there's a huge possibility that a learner can be stronger than his master, with hard work, continuous practice, and not giving up. I want you, my people, to believe that you can defeat The Descendants Of The Black Moon. No matter how strong, undefeated and powerful they seem to appear, I want you to believe that you can defeat them, you can concur triumphantly with hard work!" The King took both hands behind his back as she locked them together, moving from one direction to another with his gaze fixed at his people, he continued. "As you all know, Ravana with his monsters will descend in the next three days, which every one of us has been preparing for. I want you to believe that, no matter how little we are, we can defeat them! In as much as we believe we can. The soldiers of Nazirites have been training every day, even I, the king and my daughter, have been training also; the same implies to you all. Train! Fight! Try to defeat your opponent and make sure you win! Fight with your last breath, even when you fall, you should stand up and continue fighting until you defeat them." Said the king in an authoritative tone as the people of Nazirites cheered to prove that they were also ready for the soon-coming day. A girl amidst the crowd raised her hands as the king nodded his head as a sign of approval. She stood on her feet as she spoke, "Long live the King!" She said with a bow as the king nodded his head yet again. She raised her head to look at the king and continued, "As you said, we should fight and don't give up. But, what if they appear undefeated? What if we try to defeat them, but we can't? Just as it was said by our ancestors, The Descendants Of The Black Moon are undefeated and can't be killed no matter what. Having this in mind, do you, the king, think we will be brave enough to fight? And again, it was said and believed that only the chosen one could defeat The Descendants Of The Black Moon. Is it possible for us, mere descendants, to defeat them?" She asked and took a bow yet again. On second thought, what the young girl had said was nothing but the truth. The king knew that they were... dead people, so, was it possible to kill the dead? Was it possible to defeat the already dead people? There was a moment of silence as the king took a moment to think of a better word to continue cheering his people. When Kath turned to look at her father and realized he had been dumbfounded by the young girl's speech, she spoke in place of him. "Yes! Just like it was said by our ancestors that only the chosen one can defeat those monsters, which we all believe. But, can we just sit and watch those monsters kill us all? As we all know, we, the people of Nazirites are born warriors. We are born to fight, either with a sword or with our strength and power. We aren't born to sit and watch some group of monsters kill us all. No matter what, we must fight to overcome it. As we don't know the chosen one, for now, we must fight until the gods of our ancestors see our efforts and figure out the chosen one for us. We can't relent, we must fight! We are warriors and we are conquerors! We must defeat! Or, are you too scared to defeat them?" And again, the people of Nazirites cheered and screamed, "We are warriors! We are conquerors, we are born fighters, so we can defeat The Descendants Of The Black Moon!" Kath smiled, seeing that she had managed to bring back their confidence. Even though Kath and her father had fear in their minds, they wouldn't and couldn't express it to their people that they were also afraid of the great tribulation that would fall on them in no time. But as leaders they were, they had to act bravely and keep on cheering the people of Nazirites until D-Day. This was the same reason her father had called for this gathering, and made her fight right in front of them all, making her act brave. Her father wanted to use her as an example to show the people of Nazirites that they should be as brave as her and make sure they didn't give up until they became the winner. But, the reality was right in front of them, there was no way they could defeat The Descendants Of The Black Moon! No way! But, as usual, they have to fight until their last strength and to make sure, that at least, they die fighting. Ever since that young girl in the crowd had said that to her dad, he has been down, trying to plaster a smile on his face, because he knew that what they were preparing for wasn't an easy fight. It wasn't a thing they could overcome easily, especially when the gods of their ancestors had refused to show them who the chosen one was. Hopefully, a miracle will happen and the gods of their ancestors will help them defeat this group of monsters. That will, of course, be a dream come true.
