We raced through the lobby of the hotel like two kids, me holding her bags and one of her hands, her holding her glass of wine trying, not to spill. We ran up just in time to see two people leaving the elevator so we stepped in, pressing the button a million times as if that would make the doors close any faster. By some miracle we managed to get the elevator to ourselves and as soon as the doors closed Edi threw back her wine in just a few gulps. “Ugh, I needed that,” she groaned, placing the drained glass in one of the bags, making my eyes widen and I chuckled.
