I turned around instantly to face Jimin. The hall was quiet, and all the students were already in class. Luckily, we had left the principal's office before this guy dropped the bomb. How did he know my popstar name?
"Chaeyoung, you really think we won't be able to recognize you just because you've cleaned off your face makeup?" Kim was the first to reply. His husky voice sent shivers down my spine as he drew his face closer to inspect me in a teasing way.
"Are you guys stalking me?... I mean, my name is not Chaeyoung, it's Min-ji, and I've never met you guys before in my life," I stuttered, sweat dripping down my face.
Jimin stared with his signature grin, alongside Jin and Baekhyon, like I was some kind of trophy they had just found.
I had lived in this new town for two years now, and no one had ever recognized me, so it assured me I had hidden myself well. But then again, my worst rivals, the Luminous band, had just figured out my identity at first sight.
"At first, I thought it wasn't you until you displayed your signature outburst in the principal's office - what you always do when I'm around," Jimin leaned closer and whispered to my ear. My whole face turned bright pink, and I pushed him back instantly.
"I have no idea what you're talking about, and the only place I've seen you people is on television," I went into full protective mode on my identity. These guys were crazy, thinking they could just barge into my secret life and expose it.
"If you want us to be ignorant, Chaeyoung, you can just tell us," Jin replied, the gentleman who speaks less.
"Please, can everyone just stop calling me Chaeyoung?" I shouted as I started walking again, leaving them behind. But with their tall, athletic builds, they were fast enough to catch up to me.
"This is the school assembly hall, a place where students gather to sing the national anthem and pledge, listen to principal speeches, and sometimes hold parent-teacher meetings," I gritted my teeth in frustration as the tour started to escalate.
"So, Min-ji, huh? Why would she want to hide her identity?" I heard Baekhyon's voice whisper.
"I'm not sure, but do you think she's having this celebrity daydream of living a normal life?" Kim chuckled. They were snickering among themselves.
"I can't believe this is her new school; it's quite nice," Jin exclaimed, his voice a little louder than the rest.
"She probably needs to stop putting on so much makeup as Chaeyoung, though - she looks very beautiful without it..."
"Do you all realize that the person you're talking about is right in front of you?" I snapped immediately after Jimin said his opinion. That was a really uncomfortable thing to say.
"Sorry, Mrs. Student Body President," they all exclaimed at once, like soldiers on a training ground.
I huffed and stomped my feet at every district of the school, from the hallway to the bathroom, to the football field, then the clubs room, classrooms, and whatever place they built in the school. I tried my best to lose them at every explanation, but they always caught up with me.
Ring, ring... The school bell rang.
"Yes, finally. Thank goodness. We've come to the end of the new student tour, so you strangers should scurry off and do something reasonable with your life... I mean, enjoy your time," I breathed a sigh of relief, waving them off. I didn't even give them time to reply before I scurried off to class.
One good thing about being a student body president and showing new students around: you get to have a free pass to skip at least four classes during the time of the tour.
I met Yeon-seo already packing her bags at the chemistry lab, which, according to my calculations, had just ended.
"Min-ji!" Yeon-seo rushed to me in a hurry, her eyes shining brighter than ever before. She was excited about something, and I knew exactly what it was.
"I heard you were given the opportunity to show around the Luminous band. It wasn't a rumor; they're actually going to be attending our school," Yeon-seo squealed.
"I knew I wasn't supposed to contest for assistant student body president this senior year," I grumbled.
" What did you say." Yeon-seo expression changed to seriousness.
"Nothing." I shrieked In the sudden change in personality.
I helped her to carry her bag so we could move on to the next class.
"So how were they physically, were they actually built up like god's, was Jimin hair actually soft when touched." I couldn't help but laugh at Yeon-seo desperate behavior to meet that jerk, she needs to relax, they were also in the senior year like me and her and we would probably be unlucky enough to have one of them as classmates.
The hallway was vast with students running up and down as they were already panicking of being late to class, in Seoul high, everyone was already set In one goal and that is follow the high esteem student standard, if a child followed the rules and regulations properly it was said that the pathway of life was set for them.
But that didn't reach sugar, the girl that thinks she's some kind of queen bee of Seoul high and ever-since she was casted out from the vote of student body president, she always had it out for me, but now today, while every student where running up and down to class.
She stood in the middle of the hall way with a bouquet of flowers and some chocolate, I wondered what she was up to, maybe she was going to attack the Luminous band with it, I grinned until she started walking forward to me and Yeon-seo.
"Hi Min-ji, hi Yeon-seo, I came here to apologize to you, for what I did before the midterm holidays." Suga stretched fourth the rose and chocolate to me and Yeon-seo and the bought of us couldn't help but shake at this kind of new behavior but I kind of secretly know what going on.
"Look, I don't know why I didn't like you guys at first, but I hope you forgive me for all what I have done." Suga grinned as we contemplated gently in taking the flowers.
"There must be a bomb in the flower or some poison mixed in the chocolate." Yeon-seo whispered into my ears before taking the chocolate, we smiled, thanked and waved at her, thinking what kind of deliverance her parents had finally shifted her to, when we came across Jimin in the hall, he waved at me and I scowled at him, which encouraged him to walk forward.
"Sorry mrs student body president, I am a little confused on the the class assigned to me, my paper is a little smudged." Jimin replied, his voice all innocent as he handed his paper towards me.
The numbers were indeed smudged but taking a deeper look my heart dropped, 3학년 1반" (3rd grade, 1st class), it was my class.
" Mr Jimin woo....am sorry about the unlikely mistake, but your in the third grade first class, my class." I gulped in dissapointment and Yeon-seo squealed at my side I was stranded in the same class as my rival, luckily it was only one of them, but then again it was the worst of them, Jimin smiled in satisfaction.
" So then Mrs student body president can I follow you to our class." He exclaimed.
