CHAPTER FIVE

"You know Min-jin, you can change your looks but not your voice." Jimin bent down towards me, his mouth was very much close to my ears and just as his lips brushed against my skin, I turned full pink, the whole class raised into an uproar cause the scene looked like we were some kind of couple that were having some private conversation.

"Does Jimin know Min-jin.."

"How did we ever not recognize her voice to sound like the famous popstar chaeyoung, could she be the one......

Whispers of voices from left right and center escalated around the classroom and I had to act fast before it was to late, before the world discover Min-jin normal life.

I immediately pushed off Jimin from my side and removed my headphones, like I was still clueless.

" Why are all of you guys staring, I just mistakenly put my headphones on loud speaker, do you guys like my lip singing." I grinned waving them off with a clumsy expression and every body sighed a relief.

Come on guys Min-jin has been in this school for a while, she can't possibly be a popstar.....

"Your right I don't know what we were thinking."

The atmosphere calmed down and the next teacher stepped in.

2 hours later.... Short break at Busan high cafeteria.

It was remaining two hours thirty minutes before the school hours closes and I was already getting ready for my next concert this afternoon, tonight I was going to announce of my long leave from singing so I could focus more on my final year exams.

This last days in highschool has got to be studying hard to my bones cause I had to get my dad expectation to the Seoul National University this year and I didn't need any distraction, my voice had to wait.

After ordering my food from the canteen desk, I went on to take my seat, I was alone right now cause Yeon-seo had forgotten one of her notes in class.

I took a deep breath, when my eyes lingered on Jihyeok, my twin brother, the renowned basketball player of Seoul high,he had everything in this normal life, the fame, popularity and all the attention, as Min-jin, I was just his quiet nerdy sister that always minds her business.

Before the holidays to start this term, suga, the spoilt brat had tried her best to get me to talk about her to my brother but I had always refused, that lead her to bully me constantly with shoving food to my clothes and making my locker to a stink bomb.

However I broke down one of those particular days, at the corner of the cafeteria desk; suga had stolen my diary from my bag and posted it to the whole school like some paparazzi latest gossip and my crush, Dong-Hyun saw all the day dream I wrote about our future weddings and I couldn't show my face, I was the main center of attention, and my brother didn't take it likely with them.

That was the first time I saw that he cared.

"Min-jin don't cry okay, I will make sure no one touches or does that to you again...am sorry." He picked me up from the desk and gave me a warm hug and since then suga had been attacking to apologize and it seems that the news had already been forgotten, but I still couldn't face Dong-Hyun, I would rather bury myself in a pit hole.

"Yeon-seo please come quick." I mumbled.

In the process of looking at my brother, I saw Jimin, Kim, Baekhyon and Jin all surrounded at the popular kids table, along side him, I knew it won't take them long to put the attention on me .

sooner or later this evil jerks were going to reveal my secret to the world.

" Hiiii... Min-jin, i ordered a lovely cupcake from the best pastry in the city, would you like to try some." Suga exclaimed, appearing from God knows were to my front.

One thing about me was that I never hold grudges and her bribing me with my favourite things was starting to piss me off.

" Suga...it's alright, you can stop buying me stuff, what you did to me is all in the past...I forgive you." I exclaimed and it was clear she wasn't expecting that, she gave me a warm smile and dropped the cupcake beside my food tray.

" Friends....she stretched out her hands at me and I smiled.

" Friends."

Suga might be a rich spoilt brat but when she wants to be nice, she goes all out, I guess if she was like this from the start I would have been the one nagging my brother to date her all through his life.

This was our last days in highschool and having enemies wasn't an option cause you each need to find an alliance or a compactable friend who would be with you in your desired university and for me it was suga; Yeon-seo was going to a different university in abroad and for now it was only suga that I saw the Seoul national university in her application.

"Suga please can I speak to Min-jin in private, for a second." Yeon-seo asked, adverting my attention from suga, I immediately stood up from my table to stand to her.

I was the one who had been waiting for her to come and now she wants to tell me something I think it's important.

"Sure Yeon-seo, see you guys later." Suga bid farewell and it was then I saw the tears on Yeon-seo eyes.

" Min-jin, doctor Shanghai called this afternoon, and they said they are ready for my mom's operation, but the only money I have right now it's...for College, I don't know what to do Min-jin." I pulled her to the girls bathroom and locked the door, immediately we were alone, I hugged her tight.

" Don't worry Yeon-seo, I believe in miracles and an opportunity would arrive in no time." I assured her as she sobbed profusely in my comfort.

And that opportunity is to speak to my manager, Lim Soo-jin, to let loose of some cash, how about cheayoung Choi do her friend a favour.
