Two SistersThe wind blew down the field and filtered through the trees lining Katie's ranch. They kept a lookout for drones while they figured out how to train with the new weapon.
“What do I do with this?” Katie asked aloud.
“At least you got a weapon.” Ariana crossed her arms. “They want me to study that book.”
Katie turned over the strange weapon in her hand, “How do you work this thing?”
Ariana got close and examined it. It looked like a small shield, about the size of Katie's hand. From either side sprung two twisted spikes each about five inches long. They were horns from some animal. Did John say antelope horns?
Katie asked, “So it's like a double edge sword? With horns?”
Ariana offered, “Umm, I think so.”
