CHAPTER SIXTEEN Family ReunionZacke sat in his kitchen, stunned, unable to process the scene. His father sat quietly, passively. Zacke focused on his breathing. It hurt to breathe, so he focused on the pain. It kept the anger at bay, for now. “I can't get over how much you look like your father, more and more,” said Zacke's mother as she stirred her tea. His father must have made it for her, but he didn't remember when. Zacke had a million questions. None of them came to mind. The ride home had been surreal.
