Elsa wanted to run, but her body had a spirit of its own. It never wanted to be apart from Rafael. Not once, not ever. Rafael carried her on his shoulders. There was no verbal exchange. That gave Elsa enough time to re-evaluate things, but she felt too weak at the thought of separating from him. She was ready to take a chance. Finally, when they reached an isolated and unused cabin, Rafael put Elsa down. Nobody can explain why Rafael came looking for her and behaving that way. There was no need to carry her to the cabin.
