Chapter 10: The Journey Back

Three months later Rocky, Pooky and Rain were traveling back to the camp. They were a few days ride from their destination. They had stopped by Aethsari to find the Rain’s brother had gone to the army camp to search for General Crini. So they continued on their journey after getting fresh supplies and Rain went to a doctor to check on the baby. Pooky was telling Rain a story about when her and Rocky were children. It was a story about how Rocky had broken his arm jumping from a tree because he believing he was a bird. While her brother walked ahead in his wolf form making sure that the ladies were safe from an ambush. He’d been having a bad feeling that something bad was going to happen all day. “Rocky!” Pooky called from behind him, making him trot back, and shift back into his fae form
“What’s the matter? Where’s Rain” he asked, seeing the concerned look on his sister’s face, and Rain nowhere near the horses
“Pooky is fussing over nothing. I’m having some morning sickness.” Rain smiled as she returned from the edge of the trail
“And that's normal?” Rocky asked as he stroked her cheek
“If I remember what the nurse told me, yes. It’s my bodies way of preparing for the baby” she smiled as she kissed him
“You worry me Rain” Rocky sighed and she giggled as she got back on the horse
“I know, now come on, we have a long way to go” before Rocky could shift back into his wolf form Pooky stopped him
“Hold up brother, it’s my turn to keep watch”
“Are you sure?” he asked and she nodded
“If I notice anything amiss I’ll call for you.” she winked as she shifted into her beautiful fox form, and ran off in front of them. While Rocky got onto the horse, and they started off again. Once they were sure Pooky was out of earshot, they started talking
“Are you sure that you’re okay Aila?” Rocky asked
“Of course, I am Jael.” She smiled “My body is preparing for the growth of our baby”
“You’re too good for me Aila, you know that? You’re so strong and fierce, and yet so gentle and soft” Rocky smiled as he kissed her hand, making her blush
“Well you are a giant wolf puppy” she giggled.
That night, after dinner the trio was sitting by the fire. Pooky was making notches in a stick. While Rain leaned against Rocky, rubbing the slight bump on her stomach. “So if I did my math right, you’re 5 and a half months pregnant. Right Rain?” Pooky asked and Rain nodded. After a few more moments of silence the young princess sat up in shock
“What is it?” Rocky asked, getting nervous
“I-I felt the baby move” she muttered as she lifted her shirt “Here feel” she smiled as she placed Rocky’s hand on her stomach. Moments later a bright smile crossed his face
“Pooky, you need to feel this.” So his sister came over and placed her own hand on Rain baby bump. And after waiting for a minute she felt a little kick
“Did you feel that?” Rain giggled
“I did, oh Rain, this is wonderful” Pooky smiled.
A few hours later, Rocky and Rain were laying in their tent, he had his hand on her stomach, feeling his child kicking. 'I can’t believe our baby is actually in there Aila' Rocky sighed as he rubbed her bump
“I know Jael. I don’t know why, but I have a hunch that it’s a girl”
“Instinct?” he teased making her laugh.
“Kiss me Jael” she pleaded after a moment of silence
“For you anything” he smiled as he leaned over and kissed her. He then felt her hand slip down to his trousers. But he stopped her “Are you sure love? Is it safe for the baby?” he asked and she nodded
“I asked the nurse in Aethsari, and she said that it won’t hurt the child” she sighed as she stroked his check. “Love me Jael” she whispered into his ear, making him shiver.
So Rocky continued kissing her while his hand caressed her back. Meanwhile, her fingers undid his trousers. Then removed his shirt, revealing the small scar from his wound. Making Rain whimper as she traced the small scar. “Proof of our adventures.” he chuckled as he kissed her hand. Rain then turned him on his back, and removed her vest and shirt while Rocky stroked her hips. Rain leaned down and kissed his neck, making him groan as his hands roamed her sides. “You’re so hungry” he sighed as she sat back up, and he turned her back over. Rain watched as Rocky stood and removed both of their trousers. “Now are you positive you want to do this?” he asked and she nodded, biting her lips as he got back on top of her. “Then I am at your biding my princess” he whispered into her ear and he waited for her orders.
“Kiss me again” she giggled, and he obeyed and kissed her. Her legs wrapped around his waist and her fingers tangled into his black hair. Their minds connected in this moment of passion
‘Aila, my princess. Tell me your bidding’ his voice echoed in her mind. So all through the night, and into mid-day the following day, she pleaded for him. Almost as if she was afraid to lose his touch, and he gave her everything that he had and more. When they finally came out for air, Pooky was waiting with the horses
“About time you two” she giggled as her brother stumbled to his horse
“Hush sister, I’m awaiting my princess’s orders” he said with a sheepish grin, as he tripped over a rock.
“You silly fae” Pooky laughed as she picked him up and helped him on the horse. Shortly they were off. “Now Rain, want to explain why my brother is as high as a horse?” she teased and Rain blushed
“I do not know.” She smiled.
Sometime later they finally reached the army camp. While Rain went to the nurse's station to get checked out. Rocky and Pooky went to General Crini and gave him a status report and handed over the Huskanaso Fruit. So that it wouldn’t get into the wrong hands. “Thank you, the both of you for helping the army. the High Queen is now weakened without the power of the Fruit. Now go and rest, you’ve had a long journey and will need your strength for the upcoming battle.” Crini said and the siblings bowed and left the tent.
“I’m going to go find some food, I’m starving” Pooky said
“You’re always starving” Rocky teased and she rolled her eyes
“Are you going to go check on Rain?” she asked and Rocky nodded
“Well tell Hellen and the girls I say hello” Pooky said as they parted ways. She went to the food tent while Rocky went to the nurse’s tent.
When he arrived, he found Rain in a corner with Helen, Sarah, Jane and a fourth woman he didn’t recognize huddled over her. “Is everything okay?” he asked as he walked over
“Oh Rocky, it’s you. Yes everything is perfect. The baby seems to be healthy” Helen smiled as she hugged her adopted son
“And this wonderful nurse has discovered the gender of the baby as well.” Jane smiled as she and her sister hugged Rocky hugged him.
“How is that possible?” he asked
“Special magic that is being taught to many nurses” the nurse smiled “My is Mary Ellen”
“Rocky” he nodded “Now what about the gender?”
“Well that’s up to her majesty on how she wants to tell you” the nurse winked as Rain sat up. “Now your majesty, get some rest for a few days, then you can return to your duties. Understood? No worrying”
“Yes ma’am” Rain smiled as Rocky helped her up “Besides I have my handsome lover her to take care of me while I rest.” Shortly, Rocky and Rain found their way to their tent. “It feels good to not be traveling for a while” she sighed as she slumped into a nearby chair
“I agree. Now Aila, before this drives me crazy, what is the gender of our baby?”
“It’s a girl Jael. We’re going to have a little girl” she smiled.
