Dragon Heart

Zekith Ra

The competition between Kinta and Zekith was continuing and has entering into its final stage. Both of these boys had been enduring this test since this morning. It was now four in the afternoon and they have been going at it for over six hours and they were rapidly approaching the seventh hour. It was now the middle of the afternoon. The heat was scorching causing the surrounding land to shimmer and distort as heat vapor was released from the ground. Sweat was pouring down the faces of Kinta and Zekith like little waterfalls with the occasional breeze as a momentary relief. The two boys continued to endure as the crowd cheered for them. At the seventh hour it was five pm. Kinta's body began to shake uncontrollably. The green swirling chi from before were nothing more than mere shadows at this point. He was showing clear signs of exhaustion. Meanwhile Zekith was still looking very relaxed. At least that's what it looked like to the supporters. But, Krom could see his fatigue and that shimmer of red and gold from before was gone. As time dragged on Kinta's shaking worsened and his complexion paled. At the eighth hour it was now six in the evening. Zekith by now was also showing signs of exhaustion with his own shaking, but, Kinta looked far worse by comparison.

His eyes were bloodshot and his body became so extremely pale. It was like all the melanin in his skin was evaporating. It was like watching someone loose energy in real time. One was able to clearly see his blue veins as they spasmed under his skin. Kinta looked at Zekith with a dagger like expression.

His sharp eyes shined with defiance. "I refuse to believe that you are stronger than I am in any way." He gritted his teeth and kept enduring.

When looking at Kinta the crowd admitted that he was strong. Plus, looking at how he was enduring this test one had to admire his power of will as well. However, if Kinta is impressive then what could be said about Zekith. Just looking at this youth inspired awe. Although he was incredibly tired. He knew that he could endure for a little while longer. He glanced Kinta and sneered inwardly while keeping a relaxed expression. "I can last longer than you can." His eye shone with determination as he continued to endure this test.

Time ticked by as this test of endurance progressed. Each group was still cheering on these two combatants. The eighth hour became the ninth hour and the ninth hour became the tenth. It was now eight in the evening and the sun was beginning it final descent as night approached. At this point Kinta couldn't hold out anymore and fell from his 15 foot beam hitting the dirt below hard. Thud. The sound was audibly heard from all the bystanders. " Laying on his back completely exhausted Kinta's chest rose and fell in rapid intervals. His eyes were bloodshot to the point of them looking like ruby's. They were fixed upon the boy in front of his face. This is my junior? "Who is this kid...?" Questioning himself in astonishment.

It wasn't out of the question to ask this. In fact many of the children were asking that very same thing. Majority of the older kids had no clue who this young, stocky, and solid looking little boy was. So of course after witnessing an unbelievable display like this. The likes of which they might not ever see again made them all super curious. So of course they were astonished. Of course these people would definitely inquire about Zekith's background.

As for the individual in the spotlight. He simply choose to ignore the looks admiration, envy, and jealousy as he jumped down gracefully from the 15 foot tall beam he was standing on. He had a slight shy grin while his head was slightly bowed. This gave him an innocent and bashful appearance. However, his eyes were clear and hawk like as he walked toward the level seven warrior Krom.

The worm level kids were in an uproar. While the older kids were all stunned. Never would any of these groups have been able to guess the outcome of today's training exercise. This was a historic event and they had just witnessed it. Everyone watched quietly as Zekith approached Krom with assured steps.

His eyes were shape as knifes but still had a clear innocence radiating from them. He walked until he stood a few paces in front of Krom. Where he bowed and saluted placing his right fist over his left breast. "Zekith Ra, worm level, seven years old presents himself."

Warrior Krom peered at this child whom stood before him. He examined his aura carefully while maintaining an aloof expression. "This kid is truly in the initial stage of training. The energy in his body is so low that's it's hard to detect." Pausing his thoughts for a moment and then inwardly shook his head. I'm interested in learning how this kid was able to accomplish such an amazing feat of endurance. While clearly being a whole level below his competitor.

After a while he finally put his thoughts to the side as a smiled appeared on the corners of his mouth. Then in front of all the junior generation of this little village. Krom laughed heartily while saying good a couple of times.

"Good, mm hmm... good job." Shaking his head in praise. "From this exercise I have seen something good today. However don't get a head of yourself. This is just the beginning of your journey. Will you become a shark amongst fish, a tiger amongst beast, or a Dragon amongst heavens. Or, will you fail and be eaten, swallowed, and used as a stepping stone for someone's else's rise to glory. Take heed of what I'm saying and become great in this kingdom of Light on Turtle Island. Because I will expect to continue to see good things from you." His voiced was laced with magnetism as the whole area around Zekith shimmered. A layer of heat and pressure pressed against him. Then two more spheres of powerful pressure surrounded the boy. The power was great and the pressure was almost overwhelming. Zekith looked like he was in pain but he said nothing. As the pressure increased an almost forced him to his knees. Krom gave Zekith a very meaningful look before releasing his power.

"Do not disappoint me, Zekith Ra!"
