Back at the police department, the whole atmosphere was tense. Literally, a scream would make everyone inside lose their sanity. When Michael Patton was admitted to the main lobby, each of the officers, detectives, and elders turned to look at him closely, judging him before questioning him. The only one who smiled at him and gave him a friendly gesture in greeting was Hallie, Rachel's mother, who reminded him of that day she met him and how awkward and cute she thought about him in that instant.
