CHAPTER 3

It’s currently seven - thirty in the morning and my not so little younger siblings think it’s a good idea jumping on top of me to wake me up because they want double strawberry and chocolate waffles for breakfast. “ PLEASSSSSSE ROSEY “ Lizzy whines “ we won’t ask for anything else “ the twins say together “ come on bunny after the last couple days we’ve all had “ John whines then the faces start they put a whole new meaning to puppy dog face “ FINE!!! BUT IF ONE AND I MEAN ONE OF YOU COME BACK IN HERE TO ASK IF IM DONE GETTING READY BEFORE I GET TO THAT KITCHEN IM MAKING MUSHROOM AND SPINACH OMLETS NOW GET OUT PUPS!!!” I throw myself back on to the pillow as Ryan has a devious look in his eye “do I get waffles too?” I look at him as I get out of bed and go to the bathroom to take a shower as I slam the bathroom door and I can hear him laughing hysterically ok two can play at that game. As I’m getting out of the shower wrapping myself in a towel Ryan is walking in dropping everything as he looks at me and slams me against the wall as I feel his growing member against my core as I moan against his lips “ it should be illegal for you to look this good right after getting out of the shower beautiful “ as he runs his nose against my jaw breathing in my scent “ here I had the maids wash your clothes that were in your bag but your hoodie is still drying so you can borrow one of mine” I smile as I take the clothes and go about my morning routine after I finish and put my wet curly hair in a messy bun I go to start on three dozen waffles as the kitchen staff comes in and ask if they can help I agree thankful for the help. As I was plateing the last one Ryan walks in as I call the kids sense they can’t answer there phones typical they ask for waffles but can’t answer there phones as they start digging in including Ryan “ so who wants to explain why no one knows how to answer their cell phones when there are SIX of y’all! “ Ryan can see my irritation and stops eating to walk up to me and holds me as I close my eyes to calm down and I breathe in his earthy and minty scent with a hint of German chocolate as I open my eyes all the kids have a look shock on their face “ WHO ARE YOU AND WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH OUR SISTER!!” They all but screamed at me I couldn’t help but laugh it was Lizzy who answered my question though “we can’t sissy because he took them “ “ this grabbed not only my attention but my mother’s who just walked in “who Tyler? “ I questioned she nodded that was all the answer mom and I needed as we went to the garage followed by Ryan and Alpha Astford we found a hammer and broke our phones looking at mom “ I got it” she nodded. I was no longer hungry and neither was my mother but I made us a couple of smoothies to not alarm Ryan and his father or my siblings. I needed to go for a run but with Tyler still on the loose there’s no way I could as I looked out to the river “penny for your thoughts” Alpha Astford asked “huh oh umm “ sigh “I’m thinking about Tyler “ he looks at me perplexed “ I need to go for a run but it’s not safe to with him out there or smart to leave my family at the height of everything going on right now” “ and have you told my son the height of this situation “ as I was about to answer as Ryan walks up along with my mother “ yes she has father as uncomfortable as she was saying it all she told me you may not like the order of it but she told me first” he chuckled then “her parents came and told me months ago son when they were looking for refuge when the time came you know my detest for Luke Steele as a person but not even you my son do not know my hate for him as an alpha “ the shock was evident not only to me but as well to Ryan as well. “Weren’t you gonna take Rose here to the mall son?” Alpha Astford commented “huh oh yea let’s go Rose” he said I couldn’t help but think right now isn’t a good time as we walked to the garage as we got in Ryan kissed me sweetly “don’t think I didn’t notice you not eating breakfast this morning beautiful “ shock and this morning’s hysterics came to play as an idea came to mind “that’s only cause I didn’t get what I really wanted for breakfast handsome as I kissed him behind the ear seductively” after a moment Ryan recovered shaking his head as he put his hand on the inside part of my thigh in very dangerous territory.

After forty-five minutes we finally get to the mall sense I no longer have any clothes “where to first beautiful “ as he opened the door to the car for me “ummm is Forever 21 ok with you “ I ask “ You can ask for Louis Vuitton and I’ll still pull my card out for you beautiful” “ you’ll pay two dollar for a nobody like her but not me what the hell ryan!” A snarky High pitch annoying voice says from behind us as we look back she slaps him and I slap her back only my slap put her on her ass as I walked away i have never felt so stupid in my life figured it was to good to be true I heard them yelling and then feet running towards me “ ROSE!!! WAIT!!! Please love let me explain…” “EXPLAIN!!! I DONT NEED AN EXPLANATION RYAN!! I’m not gonna be no side piece b***h got it ?! thanks for the ride I’ll find my own way back enjoy your time with your girlfriend “ I walked away tears going down my face I been played like a fool. I went to the women’s restroom to wash my face off and calm down then went off to Forever 21 as I looked in the clearance they had a good selection of pajamas and I grabbed a few than went and tried on some jeans I thought were cute and went to pay for my things I went to grab me some fries and a chocolate shake before I set off to the next store as I was sitting and not enjoying myself Ryan found me “ can i sit with you Rose” he said hesitation in his voice as I looked up you can tell he been crying I nodded once I didn’t want to be cornered in by them so as I was about to get up as he caught my hand “ Rose please listen to me beautiful …” I stopped for a moment “her name is Janice Sir Edwards we dated over the summer but she cheated on me with my dad’s beta’s son I ended it she’s been like this sense I normally don’t come to the mall but for you I’ll do anything Rose please you have to believe me “ as he finished he had tears rolling down his face I looked into his eyes and saw the truth in them and how truly upset he is how could I have hurt this amazing man “where’s the b***h so I can knock her on her ass again for hurting you “ I whispered at that he kissed my hand and all I wanted was to be in his arms I went and sat next to Ryan and he put his arms around me as he saw most of my shake was gone we munched on what fries i have left; we stayed in each others arms till we realized I really needed more than two sets of pajamas and two pairs of jeans. We got up and Ryan insisted on holding my bag and paying me back as well as paying for everything else I obliged on one condition for him to hold me tonight in OUR bed when he realized what I was asking his mega watt smile crossed his face as we headed for Lululemon for all my workout clothes 45 minutes later with different workout shorts ,leggings , and shirts and over two thousand dollars later I was ready to run to the car but Ryan put his foot down saying he can afford it we went to Sephora next which just so happened to be by Tiffany and company as I was going in Ryan said he would wait outside the store for me and handed me five hundred dollars in cash i rebought most of my makeup but when I left the store Ryan was no where to be found as I was looking around there he is red handed or should I say blue handed walking out of Tiffany’s as I go walking towards him “I was trying for you not to catch me “he said sheeply I kissed his cheek “come on I need comfy shoes “ I said as we walked hand in hand and past multiple shoe stores till I found my destination Buckle. Ryan looked so out of place it made me giggle at times 5 pairs of Hey Dudes later and now off to Ryan’s dream land “ can we go to Victoria Secret?” I whispered in his ear he all but dragged me to the store way more excited then he should be “ can I pick out a couple of sets for you beautiful as I turned my head to look at him i saw the b***h Ryan calls an ex more like a hyena if you ask me I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed his lips tenderly “as many as you want to handsome “ I whisper my sizes to him and off he goes ; he sees Janice and I nod letting him know it’s fine I put thirty or so pairs of underwear in my bag six bras , three sports bras some shirts , more leggings, workout shorts ,some hoodies, sweaters and a robe as I go to the find Ryan I see a set I know he would love me in and I get all my sizes for the three piece set as Ryan brings me four more sets he picked out after paying over six hundred dollars we went to Bath and body works for my body wash ,lotions and perfumes and a few candles sense they were on sale after paying and going to load up the car “Ryan …” he looks at me “what is it beautiful?” I know he sees the worry in my face “ I’m sorry. I’m sorry for earlier I should have heard you out first handsome I … “ he cuts me off by my kissing me “I expect nothing less out of someone as strong as you beautiful” “Ryan ?” “ yes my love “ can we go to target so I can get shampoo and a few hair products ?” As he laughs “anything and I mean anything for you my love “. Once we get to target I get my shampoo and conditioner hair brush, hair products , straightener, tooth brush, makeup remover, lashes and lash glue , which Ryan looked at me like a crazy person for which I couldn’t help but giggle at and few blankets and as I was about to grab my special pillows” love there are plenty of pillows at home and pillow cases we will find what’s right for you “ just then Ryan’s dad messages him saying for me to get a pillow as I grab the pillow I’m embarrassed Ryan looks at me and stops us “ what is it what’s the matter “ I look down “ I have a neck injury from years ago it’s why I hardly shift anymore and need specific pillows “ I say quietly he pulls me into a hug “ we will talk more about it in our room I don’t care what I have to pay to help you or for you to be comfortable I’m here now “ as we check out and are putting things in the car some one grabs me I fight as hard as I can a needle is pushed into my neck Ryan punches the man it’s luke I know it is Ryan picks me up throws me in the car and drives us back home he’s saying something to me I know he is but I can’t make it out then it all goes black around me .

I can hear voices but I don’t recognize them “get another bag of fluids ready and a blood transfusion now!” Someone yells I groan at the bright lights in my face “EVERYONE STOP! “ “Rose ? Rose can you hear me it Dr.Ashley Rymes” I nod I try to talk but my mouth is dry “do you wanna sit up ?” I nod again I look at a nurse and sign for water she hands Dr.rymes the cup and I take a few sips “Ryan? “ I barely croak out out. “We will go get him and your mother and the alpha as well” it wasn’t a minute later Ryan comes running in through the doors as I lock eyes on him I know he hasn’t slept and has done nothing but cry he puts his forehead to mine I try and grab his hand but I’m just too weak “ what did he inject me with?” I ask horsely Ryan looks down at me then at the doctors it was then we notice my mother and Ryan’s dad. His dad nods at Ryan “it was wolfsbane love I got the needle out of your neck in time” I nod understanding what he means Ryan tries to move so my mother can have her moment but I try to lift my hand to his and my mother notices as she stops Ryan “ she needs you more than me right now stay with my baby girl Ryan and take care of her“ he nods but moves away so my mother can give me a kiss on the forehead “I’ll let your brothers and sisters know your awake but I’ll give you time to heal little bunny” I nod as my mother and Ryan’s dad walk out I notice a nurse giving Ryan a chair to put next to my bed “ we will try and move her later this evening now that she’s awake” he nods he walks back up to me grabs my hand and begins to cry I can barely talk I move my finger he notices I tug at his hand I look at the water he realizes what I need and pours me another glass I take a couple of drinks “what’s wrong handsome “ I can barely whisper. “I’ve told you from the beginning I would always protect you always be here for you and I couldn’t even protect you rose you deserve..” “don’t you even go there Ryan James Astford “ he looks up at me then “ there wouldn’t have been anything anyone could have done because it was either Tyler or Luke “ he looks at me then and nods “your right my love “ he puts his head down next to my arm “ rest now my protector I am too “ as I told Ryan as I closed my eyes to go to sleep.

Three blood transfusions and six bags of fluid I finally have it out of my system and my wolf is now beginning to heal me and she’s pissed and ready for blood. anyone’s blood . Being in here hasn’t been the easiest thing lately but Ryan makes it easier and his wolf keeps mine calm which helps me in turn.

Two days later

As Ryan is helping me to our room I notice something different the bed is bigger. “Ummm Ryan “ “hmmm what is it love“ “what happened to our bed ?” “Ummmm…” he turns red and looks at me sheepishly “Ryan??” “ok I kinda lost all control after they took you to the pack hospital and I shifted and messed up the bed” I looked at Ryan shocked “ dad got me to calm down saying when you woke up that you would need me“ “and that I did my love “ he grabs my hand and kisses my hand . in the corner I notice something as I try and get up Ryan notices and runs to me and helps me up I’m so much better but I’m still a little weak a few more days in bed resting and I should be ok the doctor said as we walk to the corner I see a vanity I look at Ryan “ I know that your having trouble standing for any long periods of time sometimes I thought a vanity might help you with that “ I throw my arms around Ryan and kiss his favorite spot on his neck I hear him moan “my love you have no idea how much I want you right now don’t start anything we both know you can’t finish quite yet beautiful “ I snuggle into arms as he picks me up I let him grab onto my ass as much as he wants and needs. As he takes us to our bed as he lays me down and starts kissing my neck I can’t help but moan oh goddess please let him be my mate seven more weeks till I find out. He kisses my cheek. “Beautiful I have to finish our closet “ I pout “don’t Rose I would rather have my lips all over your body then rearranging our closet right now “ I sighed knowing it would be useless “ be a good and I just might treat you tonight my little dark Angel “ he says seductively. With that I grabbed my backpack and started my homework I never got to cause well my life is a mess right now after forty-five min on one geometry problem I threw the damn book and slammed the door to the room and went to go get the elevator to the kitchen but not to my surprise Ryan runs out grabs me and just holds me I breath in his scent and begin to calm down I begin to cry not knowing why when Ryan finally realizes I am he scoops me up and take me back to our room and holds me till I finish “better” I nod “I’ll get the book. is that really your only homework left love?” I nod again “ hey” I’m so pissed I can’t even look at him “he grabs me again “shhhhh it’s ok how about you come help me finish so I can help you with your homework “ i nod but I didn’t notice he was still holding me I didn’t realize I was half shifted till I had calmed down. After three and half hours of rearranging the closet my enemy math was up next but Ryan was there to help me so for the next two hours he helped me with my geometry homework
