Chapter 4

It’s been 3 weeks sense I been attacked and still no leads but everyone seems to agree on one of two things it was either Tyler or it was Luke. We finally got word out to dad about Tyler finding us but we are safer here than trying to move again I hope he understands. I’m back to perfect health well perfect health for me. And here I am currently in school during free period by myself cause my avid teacher doesn’t want me in her class for whatever reason I’ve finished all my homework except for a few questions in geometry so I’m currently in Ryan’s car trying to not freeze to death because winter has officially hit. Not to mention I’m in a bitchy mood today as I always am with the cold cause of my neck ; something Ryan is learning about. I finally had enough I put the spare keys in my bag and go towards Dr.McNights class when the hyena also known as Ryan’s ex girlfriend Janice comes straight towards me “ tell me how did you do it” she screams as the bell rings for lunch “I don’t know what your talking about but I have some place to be “ I remarked as people were starting to stare “Like hell you do b***h !” She jumps on my back and flips me to the ground and starts punching me anywhere she can get in “GIRL FIGHT!!!” I hear one boy scream while everyone else chants “fight ! Fight! Fight!Fight! Fight! ” She throws me again except this time I bring her with me in a chock hold and throw her down and get a few punches in before coach Tuffin and Dr.McNight pull us apart and escort us to the office. I pass Ryan on the way to the office surprise on his face as well as anger. When I got to the office the school security team had already pulled up the time frame of the fight and saw that I was defending myself and was let go with a warning. I nodded my head and went to go find the nearest bathroom but was met with a pissed off Ryan instead “what the living f**k Rose?” I turned on my heel “ you don’t know f*****g s**t so shut the hell up” I spat at Ryan my wolf peaking out when Ryan saw this he tried to come near me but i shrugged him off and went to the girl’s bathroom to clean myself up. After I cleaned my self up I went out the secondary entrance from the girls restroom and went to the library to eat my lunch in private and in quiet the librarian Mrs.McKnight is a sweet little old lady who knew I was having a day and let me come early so I can eat and read before class. After I finished eating I went to the girls restroom in the library to make sure I had full control of my wolf. As I was walking back in the bell rang and Ryan slipped in shock is an understatement to his expression as he saw me. I went back to where my things were and went to a computer to try and get my geometry homework done I ignored Ryan the whole class period. When class ended I held my coat in my arms still to heated to put it on “Rose I think you should ….” I gave him one look and he let that sentence go as quickly as he thought it once we got to home eco instead of cooking we were learning about crème brûlée I took my notes for a basic crème brûlée and found out we will be making one in 3 days. Great. The bell rang back to the library but before I could get out of the building Ryan pulled me into our spot from my first day. “ what the f**k “ i hissed at him “I don’t want detention cause I’m late “ “I don’t give two f***s if we’re late “ he hissed back I stared him down “what I care about is you but your so pissed at me I can’t even talk to you helI I can’t even touch you rose “ he said “if maybe you didn’t stick up for your ex you wouldn’t be in the dog house” I walked away leaving him there instead of class I went to the bleachers to cry. I didn’t notice them when I got there I was so in my own world I didn’t notice my brother or Luke as they attacked me my brother tried to hold me down for luke I fought till i had an opening to run. I got to class 20 minutes late and went straight to the bathroom Mrs.McKnight came and checked on me then I could hear her order the whole class out of the library the school councilors came, the principal, and even a few of the women on the school security team I said I was fine at least a thousand time their was nothing on camera so they couldn’t do anything by that time it was time for my last period I changed into my leggings and a thermal combed my hair into ponytail and went out with my hoodie on trying to hide. Waiting for instruction I knew there were eyes on me and I knew who’s eyes under the bleachers were watching me too I soon felt sick enough to run back to the gym I knew Ryan was running after me I passed by coach Tuffin as he hollered out to run laps till he got back I ran into the restroom and threw up what was left of my lunch ; Ryan behind me he held my hair back for me while I continued throw up coach saw what was going on and gave us a moment of privacy after I was done Ryan helped me up “ you ok rose ?” I nod. No im not I think to myself as coach looks at me “ you good kid ? “ “yea I just need a minute if that’s all right “sure not long now” he nods to Ryan and I go back in to rinse my mouth out I come back out and I don’t expect to see Ryan waiting on me after how our day has been but he had concern etched out on his face as I walk out the girls restroom “rose you sure your ok“ he asked again worry still in his voice “yea “ I lied as we get closer coach tells us it’s laps today walk ,run , crawl he don’t care. We nod as I’m about to take off in a sprint he stops me. “ we have all class period to talk love come on let’s just walk” I nod in agreement slow and steady isn’t a Ryan and me thing never has been. “What happened before you walked into class for everyone to get kick out ? “ I stiffened immediately and he noticed “rose?” When we were far from the bleachers I whispered “it was Ty and Luke .Ryan they attacked me under the bleachers I didn’t notice them till it was to late I fought them off till I found an opening to escape “ he growled and grabbed my hand “are you ok? “ I shook my head no Ryan nodded “ don’t leave me alone please “ I begged tears in my eyes “ he looked at me realizing how vulnerable I really was in this moment I just been attacked and I’m going about my day like nothing happened and right back to where it happened “ I wouldn’t dare leave your side my love but tell me what the hell happened at lunch” I went on to tell him what happened and at hearing what truly happened he stopped then “I’m sorry for not asking correctly the first time “ I smiled up at him “your forgiven handsome “ I replied as I nudged him. “Next time though don’t take your exs side” he kissed me quickly as we finished walking till P.E is over I put my jacket on not wanting to change and Ryan soon realized why. We put our stuff in the back as he walked me to the passenger side and got in after. Ryan started the car and we waited a minute to warm up as a feeling of unease cast down on me I looked at Ryan and their they were on either side of the car “do you trust me Rose ?” Ryan asked “with my life my love” he looks at me then and somehow without hitting either one of them or cars he speeds off Ryan calls his dad and let’s him know but the moment we hit pack territory they stopped following us. Ryan never let off the gas till he got us home. When he finally had us parked he turns to me “are you ok beautiful “ I broke I cried I pulled at my skin my hair but Ryan was there he picked me up and ran us to our room and held me I cried into my boyfriends chest till I couldn’t no more “shower or bath beautiful “ “shower “ I can barely mumble Ryan goes to start my shower as I take my hoodie off Ryan sees them for the first time the marks of my assault he comes up to me and kisses my cheek “ I’ll kill them Rose if it’s the last thing I ever do I’ll kill them with my bare hands “ I went into his arms as he held me once again “go shower my love I’ll get the guards to get our things “ I nodded at him grateful that he wouldn’t leave me after my shower though I found it hard to get out as I fell in the shower and began to fall apart and cry. After a few knocks Ryan peaked in “you ok in here love it’s been a while “ the sight of me must have scared him as he ran in turned the water off looked for any new injuries and wrapped me in a towel and held me I put my head on his shoulder after a while and calming down “how “ I asked “hmm what do you mean my love”? he asks “how can you still hold me with love and adoration after knowing what they almost did to me “ I started to cry again “you listen to me and listen good Rose Marie Night …” I looked at him then my Ryan has never been this serious with me before ever “I don’t wanna hear you talk about how can I do this for you when all I want is to hold you and protect you from everything and everyone right now and helping you heal from this trauma now “ I smile at him “ let’s get you dressed love “ I nod. After getting dressed Ryan does everything he can to help me not leaving my side for a minute when suddenly John and Cole barge into the room I look at Ryan about to apologize for my brothers when John speaks up “ok what the hell happened at school …” “… yea we want ALL the details “ Lilly says as the rest of my siblings walk in I look at Ryan not knowing what to do “ um guys I never really mind y’all coming in here but your sister had a extremely hard day today how about giving her some time “ Ryan spoke up all of a sudden my mom and Ryan dad are in our room and the kids are leaving as soon as John closes the door behind him they pounce “WHY THE LIVING HELL DID THE PRINCIPAL AND NOT ONLY DID YOUR ACADEMIC COUNCILOR COME BUT THE SCHOOL COUNCILOR COME OVER JUST NOW ROSE MARIE! THEN TO FIND OUT YOU GOT IN A FIGHT TODAY TOO ! IF THIS IS HOW YOUR GONNA BE ACTING WERE LEAVING!” At that sentence Ryan couldn’t control his temper “Did you ask about it no you assume she started it but no I made a bad choice of a summer girlfriend who won’t leave rose alone and I’m also just finding out oh and to top it off YOUR DAUGHTER WAS ALMOST r***d BECAUSE OF YOUR SON TYLER HELPING LUKE SO GET OUT OF OUR ROOM SO I CAN TAKE CARE OF WHATS LEFT OF HER CAUSE SHES GRASPING AT STRAWS RIGHT NOW!!!” He yelled as our parents walked out of our roomI looked at my boyfriend barely able to move as he came and held me as I cringed but not once did he mind or let me go as I rested my head on his shoulder as my hair got his shirt all wet. But I’ll be ok with Ryan helping me I’ll be ok. I’ll be ok.
