The fairies successfully invaded middle-earth but they were met with a lot of surprises.
The humans had things that they didn't have which were going to make defeating them a little difficult.
The fairies went back to report what they had seen to their king to know whether they were still going to have to wage a war.
The fairy soldiers, without being seen, flew back to their kingdom in the sky with news about the human world for their king.

The king was seated far away from his palace, watching the flowing waters, when the guard officials came to report to the king that the soldiers had returned from the human world.
"Have you defeated humans? I didn't think that it would be so easy and you would come back this early"the king said.
"Your majesty, we indeed went down to the human world but we didn't wage war, we brought back news to you about the mysteries about them" a soldier spoke loudly, bowing his head calmly.
"And what news do you suppose you bring which would stop you from defeating the humans?" the king said loudly.
"When we landed, we noticed that the human world was a lot greater than ours and they had a lot of places in their world, which would make completely defeating them difficult ", another soldier replied.
"So, if you were to completely wipe them off, how long would it take?" the king replied.
"Your majesty, it will take a while"the soldier replied.
"Then there you have it, we shall wage war upon humans. Soldiers, prepare yourselves, you will strike at dawn. We didn't ask for this, they did", the king replied and dismissed all the soldiers that were in the palace and sent for the general.
The king and the general both sat in front of the palace having tea and discussing the reports he had gotten from his soldiers who were going to invade the humans.
"Is it possible for humans to live in so many places at a time?" the king asked.
"I think we know the answer already, your majesty, we always knew that there were a lot of mysteries associated with humans but none of us have seen it, I think you should trust your soldier's words"the general spoke.
"I did not ask for advice, 'cause I already know what to do, I just asked for an answer to the question I asked and it occurs to me that you have no answer"the king replied.
"And what your majesty, do you plan to do about the prophecy?" the general asked.
"The first phase of my plan was an invasion, not necessarily war, but I think the next step is war"the king replied.
"So what do you plan to do with humans since they are not so useful to us?" the general asked.
"Patience, patience, my friend, you don't have to worry about that, all you need to worry about is your tea getting cold" the king replied and took a sip of his tea.
"I think there's getting cold is no problem, I have had enough tea, and I would like to get going before it became dark" the general replied.
"You never told me you were scared of being in the dark however, the soldiers are going to attack the human world once it is dawn, keep your enemies close" the king replied.
"I shall take my leave now your majesty, have a good day," the general said before leaving the king alone with the pot of tea and cups.
After finishing the tea, the king went into the palace to get some rest and wait patiently for dawn when his soldiers would match to the humans and defeat them.
Dawn in the kingdom above the ground (the fairies' kingdom)
The fairies were preparing themselves for war. Each fairy had practised the night before on the training ground and was ready to go, though there was one soldier who thought that the king was exaggerating and there was no need for war and that the prophecy wasn't clear.
The king came to where his soldiers were and told them he had something to say.
"These humans aren't who we think they are, they are not so calm, while we thought that they were being good and nice for not interfering in our matters even though they can't, they have for long been plotting to reach us and stop us from existing, do not look at their pitiful faces when begging for mercy, pay no attention and know that if it were you in their shoes they would kill you without thinking twice, the situation is now a 'kill or be killed situation' if we don't act and we wait for them to, it might be too late"the king spoke at the top of his voice.
"Yes, your majesty" the soldiers also replied.
"Show no mercy, and keep away from the ground, balance in the air and use your powers do not engage in close range with them, we might not know what trap lays bare on the ground, shield yourselves from their weapon using magic, we are at war, awaken your magical abilities, they won't stand chance," the king said before letting his soldiers out of his sight.
The king's soldiers now had a grudge against the humans after listening to their king speak.
War had already begun but the humans were unaware.
The fairies crossed their borders and arrived at the humans, they listened to their king and didn't land on the ground, Instead, they balanced on the air and some fairies made a magical blast of wind that destroyed the tents and homes of some humans.
The humans didn't know what sort of creature was attacking them, they had tried their best to stay away from troubles and never waged war against any.
The humans ran for their dear lives but running was nothing, they ran too slow and the fairies caught up with them because they flew.
Terror filled the air along with the fear and cries of so many people.
The humans were not prepared so they could not attack the fairies and since the fairies were on the ground, they could not throw objects at them, all they could d was run to where they felt was secure and where the fairies won't reach them.
Around noon, the fairies retreated and went back to the palace, leaving the bodies of the humans on the grounds.
The lives of many humans were lost that day and they could not do anything to save the lives that had been lost, all they could do was mourn the people and countless lives that had been lost.
Even though countless lives were lost that day, it was like as if nothing had happened in their lands.
The king of the human land called a meeting inviting all the people in the land.
The people sat together in the open sun of noon, with their king in their midst on a high box.
"Today, we mourn the lives of our fellow families that had been lost this morning"the king spoke loudly as he wiped tears rolling down from his cheek with a piece of cloth.
"We never waged war against anyone but we also never knew that some had been planning to give us war without a warning"the king spoke.
The People all murmured and mumbled some words as if they were doubting the words of their king before a lady got up and questioned the king.
"We ought to know at least what att Kef us and what business we had with them which made them attack us?" the lady questioned
"We don't know for sure what attacked us because any business we had, we always announced it, but together we would put together facts about the creature that attacked us"the king spoke loudly.
"Do we need facts, all we need is why they attacked us and what they are"an old man got up and spoke?
"Whatever creature that attacked us never touched our ground, but stayed still in the air, and when we threw weapons, it never reached them because they went higher into the sky which made them not visible" the king replied.
"I feel like you are telling us some fairy tale, but I have a question, you know you could start by telling us the name of the tale"an old woman shouted from the audience.
"I know you are angered, about the lives you lost, we lost but I need you to understand that I know how it feels to lose someone"the king shouted.
"Oh yeah, do you, cause I don't understand, what sort of a king are you, you lock yourselves up in the palace and never concern yourself with the people and now you call a meeting inviting all the people and you utter these pitiful words, what are you trying to do or get and you say you understand what it is like to lose the lives of loved ones, you know what my answer is, you don't know what it's like, so quit pretending cause it isn't suitable for you" a lady holding a baby in her arms got up and said.
"Yes, it doesn't, quit pretending, she is right, act like a king, fulfil your duty protect us, send your soldiers"the people all contributed to what the woman had said.
Very soon, the place seemed like it was a market, the people paid no attention to the words their king said and since no one paid attention, the whole place turned noisy and the people left one by one leaving only the king on the box where he stood.
The king didn't hold the people responsible for all their criticism, instead, he held the creature that had taken the lives of his people.
The king was angered and so he sent his soldiers to find out what had attacked them.
The king's soldiers returned and told him that they had found nothing about the creature that attacked them.
The king was sure that whatever had attacked them was going to return again.
The king didn't know what to do, he didn't want to imagine what the people would say when that happened and so he became restless.
The king sent his soldiers to ask every person in the twin whether they had seen what the creature that had attacked them was but they all said that they had not seen what it looked like and that since the weapons they threw didn't reach the creature, they ran without looking back.
The king needed to provide an answer to the people because the question had become too much and he didn't have any answers to them.
The king locked himself in his study and took as many books as possible to read thinking that the answers he was looking for would be in one of the pages.
The king read many books but he found no answer and he didn't read anything that he didn't already know, there was nothing new.
The king also sent out his soldiers into the forests to look for the creature but there was nothing.
It was almost like as if the king had turned hopeless and he had no option but to wait for the creature to attack again.
The king didn't know what to do, if they were to wait for the creature to attack again, a thousand more lives could be lost again.
The king decided to go to an elder to ask for advice on what to do about the present situation, the elder was both wise and sensible, he had all the answers, and the elder had lived more than most.
