“Mate!”
“Mate!”
The bubbly conversations and partying reduced to a dead silence. The celebratory atmosphere morphed into a shocked, excited one.
“Oh Ayla, the Moon Goddess has blessed us with a mate!” I did the pirouette in my head as my wolf pranced excitedly as well.
“Oh yes, Flower! May the Moon Goddess be praised!” Ayla responded through the telepathic connection every werewolf was born with in order to be able to communicate with their wolves.
“You’re my mate.” The stoic Alpha of my pack, Night Crest, uttered in a surprised tone.
He was known to be cold and had the meanest look ever to be recorded in the history of…well, looks.
He moved closer to me as I did..
I could literally hear the stunned gasps and hushed whispers in the crowded room.
Tonight was supposed to be the anniversary of the past Alpha’s death but the Moon Goddess had chosen to surprise me with a mate.
Alpha Lennox Henderson was my mate!
I heard a scoff and knew immediately who it was. The darling sister of Lennox’s Beta and my lifelong bully — Amaya Woods.
“What your name?” He asked, having eye for only me.
“Flower. Flower Hwarthone.”
“Come with me, Flower?” He extended his hand, waiting for me to take it. I could not believe my eyes.
Oh my! He wanted me too. Grateful tears welled my eyes when I remembered how my age mates had found their fated mates at age eighteen and bullied me for not finding mine because of my Omega wolf.
“Definitely.” My voice was a slight tremble filled with emotions as I placed my small hand in his big one.
He clasped it and led me away from the ballroom.
“How can you accept this weak thing as your mate, Alpha?” Amaya’s tone held incredulity and jealousy.
A huge, unhealthy dose of jealousy.
But the Alpha paid her no mind. I would love to see my father’s face in this moment but the Alpha was already leading me away from everyone into his private chambers.
As soon as the door behind us closed, his lips clashed onto mine.
The mate bond sizzled in the air as soon his mouth began moving against mine. My skin prickled with desire that could only come from the bond as his tongue slithered its way into my mouth and dominated.
Heat pooled between my legs and turned my knees jelly.
A low passion-induced whimper emanated from Ayla, my wolf, subsequently inducing a moan from me.
A growl rumbled from his throat and caused me to shiver as he tore my dress from my body.
I heard the rip but didn’t care.
Not this time. A piece of clothing was nothing compared to this moment shared with my mate.
He broke off the kiss and his eyes flashed the color of his Alpha wolf’s — red.
I knew mine would be reflecting that of Ayla — yellow.
For every caliber of wolf, there was their color.
“Oh, sweet moon, you’re delicious.” He sighed, licking my ear.
I trembled under his touch. I felt my body leave the ground as he lifted me and dropped me gently on the bed.
He quickly did away with his own clothes and joined me, naked as I was, on the bed.
To say he was beautiful was understating it. He was magnificent, in a dangerous way that had me shivering in both delight and fear.
He trailed kisses from my lips down to my neck, his warm breath fanned the skin on there, a helpless moan left my mouth.
“Oh, Alpha.” I whimpered, desire lodged in my throat.
A startled gasp escaped my lips when his mouth found a peaked n****e and teased.
His hand kneading the other breast, he sucked and nibbled and twirled using his tongue.
All I could do was arch my back, pressing my hot, feverish body against his.
Soft moans became loud cries when his finger found its way into my wet body and he began to finger-f**k me.
“Oh yes. Oh yes. Ahhh…” I could feel my body tightening, ready to explode with my release.
But he stopped, earning a frustrated groan from me.
He came back to my mouth and kissed me passionately, I wound my arms tightly around his neck and kissed him back as though my life depended on it.
Maybe in that moment, it did.
He wrapped my legs around him, cupped my butt cheeks and adjusted himself properly between my legs.
I was so ready for him.
My body trembled so bad when I felt his thick length sliding into me.
I felt a pause. My eyes were drooped close as they were heavy with desire.
I opened them, wondering what was happening. His eyes were so the color of his wolf. Lust filled his eyes as I was sure they filled mine.
“You’re a virgin?” Disbelief rang in his tone.
Because she-wolves found their mates at age eighteen, they lost their virginity that early.
“Yes.” Shame washed over me, tears even pricked my eyes. “I was waiting for my mate.”
“How old are you?”
“Twenty two.” I refused looking at him.
He turned my face, forcing me to meet his gaze. “I’m honored.”
A relieved smile began to form on my face but it was quickly gone as he captured my lips once more and the passion roared even more than before.
He tried to be gentle so he would not hurt me but somewhere along the line, he fought against his wolf and lost the battle because he was driving deep into me so fast the pain overwhelmed pleasure and I screamed so loud.
He covered my lips, muffling my scream. He paused his movement and waited for me to get used to him.
When he felt my body relax, he began to move. Slowly at first, but pain was soon forgotten and pleasure took over.
He rode me to the edge of desire and I held onto him because I didn’t want to fall alone.
Our cries mixed, resulting in a chaotic symphony as our bodies merged not just physically but emotionally too.
In that moment, we were one fated souls and when we finally fell, it was deep, satisfying plunge.
He spilled his seeds inside of me.
It was the next morning, my eyes lazily fluttered open hearing the noisy twittering of birds.
Groggily with half my brain still asleep, I reached for him but met with an empty, cold space.
I sat up and frowned, wondering where he had went. The simple movement had me wincing as pain shot between my legs.
I felt sore but wonderful as well.
My mate.
I finally had a mate. I could not believe it.
“I see you’re up.” There he was, stepping out of the bathroom.
He looked like a god, damp and all muscled in the right places.
But his tone had me worrying a little, his expression too.
“Is something wrong?” I rubbed my eyes to clear them of any sleep left.
“We can’t be together.” He deadpanned, his jaw set in a stubborn line.
His eyes bore no emotions as did his voice.
Apprehension gripped my chest as I tried to wonder if I had done anything wrong to him. “Is it something I did?”
“You’re an Omega.” He spat it like it was a taboo.
Maybe it was because I was a shame to my bloodline, but I thought as my mate, he wouldn’t care.
Tears stung my eyes but I kept them at bay. I wouldn’t cry, not just yet. “But I thought you w-wanted m-me. We had…”
“Whatever we had was a mistake. It should not have happened.” His words were a long brutal whip, flogging my soul to despair.
“N-no. Y-you can’t do this. W-we…” The tears came now, my voice shook badly.
I could not even speak coherently.
“Crying won’t help. Just leave.” Rather than look at my face, he stared ahead, over my head.
Refusing to give up, I climbed out of the bed, forgetting I was naked and walked up to him.
I grabbed his arm. “Look at me and tell me you don’t want me.”
“It won’t change anything!” He snatched his hand away and moved away from me.
That cut me like a blade. I had endured bullying and insults from other members of the pack. I had endured the pain from them.
But not my mate too.
I made to approach him again, he moved away.
I moved closer and held him tight around the waist, sobbing. “P-please don’t. D-don’t do this to me. T-to us.”
He pushed me away from him so hard that I fell to the ground.
I was stunned.
His eyes hard and emotionless, he said icily. “I, Alpha Lennox Henderson of Night Crest, reject you, Omega Flower Hwarthone, as my mate!”
