CHAPTER THREE: Brace Yourself

Daciana’s POV
Knock knock!
There was a sudden knock on the door and we all know that it couldn't be Sasha, as she lacked basic etiquette.
“Can I come in?” My father's voice came from outside.
Gina hurried to open the door, despite it not being locked.
“Hey Cupcake” He rubbed her hair as soon as the door opened and she started giggling like a five years old child.
“Welcome back father” she said happily while leading him to the sofa.
“Thank you dear, hope the both of them haven't been too much for you to handle” he asked Vera as she handed him a glass of water.
“It has been really hard, you know how mischievous they are, especially the big baby” vera said while laughing.
“Hey, that's not fair, I was well-behaved” I said while pouting my lips, trying to look as cute as possible.
We all laughed before he distributed the gifts that he brought for us.
He got us pendants, each one had the picture of the four of us together. My mom was killed when Werecove was attacked by rogues two years ago. She died protecting the three of us and will forever be a part of us.
“Cupcake, what happened to your face?” He asked when he noticed the red marks on Gina's face.
“Sasha just left” I said with an annoyed tone.
“I will have a word with her father” he said and got up from the sofa.
“Don't stress yourself father, you know he would only apologize like he does every time. He never really disciplines her despite promising to do so” Vera said and he finally sat back down.
“What did she want this time?” He asked while trying to surpress his anger.
“She came to tell us that her father has ordered us to take her along to the capital” Vera said with a sigh.
“I am really sorry that you all have to endure such maltreatment” he said with a sad voice.
“Come on father, you know your daughters are not so easy to bully, infact I returned her slap to her and I made sure to use a lot of force” I said proudly and he chuckled.
“I came to tell the three of you to be very careful, Arcadel, the capital city is like twenty times bigger than our little Werecove. Never take off the pendants that I just gave you, I attached a tracking device to each one and when you press the little button on the side, the three of you will be able to communicate with each other in case of emergencies” he explained with a smile.
“You are the best?” We all said at the same time and started laughing.
“Okay, beautiful ladies,I will be back to send you to the airport” he said before leaving our room.
At exactly half past eleven, we arrived at the airport, where a lot of my fans were gathered. The security were trying to make way for our car.

“We will be cheering you on from here”
The joyful screams of my fans made me feel so happy and I waved to them through the window.
“Do you know how long I have been waiting here?” Sasha's annoying voice came from the entrance as soon as the car door was opened.
“Someone that doesn't know would think you are the one that was invited” Gina sneered at her.
“How dare you lowlife talk to me like that?” Sasha asked her angrily.
“It's not too late to send you back to your father, so you better not get on my nerves” Vera said through gritted teeth.
“This is girl's quarrel, what does it have to do with a man” she asked angrily before stomping her feet and dragged her luggage into the terminal.
“Let's just ignore her, we have more important things to do” I said as we entered as well.
The flight was only five hours long and as soon as I got off the plane, I saw a row of bodyguards.
“Hello Miss Daciana, I am Raphael,we were appointed by the king to protect you during your stay in the capital” the leader of the bodyguards introduced himself.
“Hello Mr Raphael, I am her manager” Vera shook hands with him.
He gestured for us to follow him and we all walked out of the airport, the entrance was filled with fans and it took a while for us to get to the car that was arranged for us.
“Hey”
“How dare you leave me behind”
“Daciana!”
“Gina!”
“Damn you bitches!”
Sasha's screams came from behind and we turned to see her being restrained by the bodyguards.
“Can we just pretend that we are not seeing her?” Gina asked with frown.
“Raphael, she is with us” I said to the leader and he gestured to the guards that were restraining her to let her through.
“Fire this idiots right now!” She demanded angrily when she got to the car.
We just ignored her as she kept throwing tantrums.
“I am talking to you, don't act like you can't hear me!” She yelled angrily.
“They were sent by the King, so you better behave yourself” Vera said to her angrily and she immediately shut her mouth.
The car was driven by Raphael, the road side was filled with cheering fans. Few minutes later we encountered a traffic jam and the fans took the opportunity to approach our car, making the scene more chaotic.
Some bodyguards got down to control the fans and Raphael went to talk to the traffic warden.
Few minutes later, the cars in front of us, started moving to the sides, clearing a path in the middle for our car to go through.
I was feeling stuffy, so I wound down the car window, a unique and intoxicating scent suddenly hit my nose and I immediately looked out of the window but I couldn't perceive it again.
“Daci, are you okay?” Vera asked with a worried voice.
“Yes, I am fine” I replied her with a smile.
“Then why are your eyes changing colors?” She asked me with a frown while staring at my face.
I took a deep breath to control my wolf.
“Calm down Siri” I said in my mind.
Siri is my wolf's name and we always communicate with each other.
“That was our mate’ she said with a lot of conviction.
“Should I tell the driver to go back?” I asked eagerly.
“This is a highway, he must be going somewhere too, at least we know that he is in this city, so there is a high chance of finally meeting him” Siri said excitedly.
I could feel my limbs trembling with excitement too. The thought of finally meeting my special person gave me so much joy.
“Should we take her to the hospital, cos that doesn't look normal to me” Gina's voice pulled me out of my head and I saw them staring at me with worried expressions.
“I am fine guys, I was just chatting with Siri” I said after forcing out an awkward laugh.
I looked out the window again and couldn't stop smiling.
Brace yourself my love, I am coming like a whirlwind.
