Emilia's POV
So many conflicting feelings held me on my toes. First of all, who did he think he was to force me to marry him? I didn't need his money or any of this. I didn't want to get married to someone like him, a monster who kills people. Our worlds are so different; I save lives, and he takes them.
"Good morning, ma'am, the boss requests your presence."
The maid called out to me. I ignored her and refused to make a move. A few minutes later Alessio barges into my room with a rage.
"I called you; how dare you keep me waiting?"
I folded my arms and backed him.
"I am speaking to you."
He gets angrier, but I maintain my composure. I refuse to utter a word.
"Alright then, have it your way."
He walks out of the room. Immediately the door closes, I sigh and walk to my bed. After sitting down for a few minutes, I noticed smoke filling up the room, and panicking. I ran out quickly. Just to meet Alessio in front of my room
"You! You did this."
He smirks and walks out.
"Come back here."
I follow him as he makes his way into the living room.
"What is wrong with you?"
He sits down and crosses his right leg on top of his left. His bodyguard, who is holding his suit behind him, puts a cigar in his mouth and lights it.
"Ghost, or whatever your name is, I'm tired of your stupid games. I'm done."
He lets out a puff and laughs.
"You're tired of my stupid games, but we haven't even started yet."
He laughs out again. I can't stand the sight of him. I just wish I could jump on him and slap him and maybe kiss him too, no! I shouldn't be thinking that way.
He looks at me wickedly as I stand in front of him. His eyes follow my curves, you can clearly see his thoughts are not unholy.
"Listen to me, I am not your slave to do as you please. You cannot keep me locked in like a prisoner."
His countenance changes, and he hands the cigar to his bodyguard. He stands up and walks up to me. Whispering in my ear
"Who says you're not mine to do as I please, huh?"
My chest tightens, and all I want to do is to hit him. But then at the same time. I want to be like him.
"I know you don't like me now. You probably think I'm this big bad wolf that eats people, and you're probably right, but Emilia, I want you, and I am obsessed with you. Everything about you..."
As he pats my hair and sniffs my neck. He is really described as the wolf that he actually is. I swallow because the closer he gets, the more the heat intensifies.
"Can I go now?"
I ask him
"Go where?"
He whispers
"Back to my room"
He holds my face in his hands and looks at me.
"You go nowhere, now sit down."
Flipping his finger, the maid brings out a yellow dress and presents it to me.
"I heard that yellow is your favorite color."
"Well, you heard wrong."
"It doesn't matter whether the dress fits your skin tone perfectly."
I stood up and began walking.
"There's going to be a party this evening, I'll need you to appear in that dress. I don't want to hear any excuses."

Getting my make-up done, I murmur
"Who does he think he is? To tell me what to do and what not to do?"
Staring in the mirror, I'm awed at how beautiful my dress looks. With my hair flowing over my shoulders instead of my usual bun, I have to keep it in.
"Ma'am the car is here."
That must be the car that is supposed to take me to the venue.
Getting into the car, I noticed that the estate is massive. All the houses are painted in the same color and pattern. Just right on top of the gate you'll see the Lombardi name imprinted on it. Through the entire ride I was filled with questions. Who is Alessio Lombardi, even though his name sounds familiar. My curiosity increases.
We made it to the party. The driver opens the door for me and I step out. All of a sudden, the attention is thrown at me. I can feel yes if everyone at the party. I can feel their whispers as I walk into the midst of them. I feel extremely uncomfortable. I don't think I've ever been in a situation like this before. I look at everyone, and they look so expensive and glamorous. I try to walk, but I feel stuck just then a voice hits me.
"You look stunning"
The voice is familiar. I turn, and I see it's none other but my greatest tormentor, Alessio.
"I don't need your compliment."
I turn around as I flip my hair dramatically. He held my hand tightly and forced me to look at him.
"You look so beautiful and sexy. I just want to."
He restrains himself and let's go of my hand and tries to maintain his composure. His behavior is so brutal and rude, but I didn't want him to let go. I loved the way he gripped me. For a moment, I got lost in his eyes, his gaze, his face, how I wanted to bury my lips in his face, but he was a criminal. Letting go, he walked away, but one of his bodyguards stayed beside me.
"Why are you following me?"
"I was given strict orders from the ghost not to let you out of my sight."
Unbelievable, I was so angry even at a party I couldn't be free. I wanted to go and confront him, but I was too scared of making a scene.

Alessio's POV
"Ghost, they're here."
Luciano interrupted my thoughts. The only thing I could see was Emilia. Her petite frame tormented my mind.
"Did they bring it?"
"Yes, it's best we meet them now."
I had to stop looking at Emilia to face business, but I didn't want to.
