Ashley’s POV

I woke up when i felt sunlight on my eyes . I rubbed my eyes and took a peek at my clock 5:20 AM . I groaned as i was running 20 mins late for my schedule. I wore my robe and head out to my porch . I shivered as cold winter breeze hit my face , i pulled my robe closer and noticed my coffee on the porch table . I smiled and inhaled the fresh morning breeze .

I sat on my chair and sipped my coffee , while enjoying the beautiful view in front of me . It’s peaceful in here not even a single house can be seen near by . This was the sole reason why I built my own house here . I’m not an easygoing person.Not because I’m spoiled but because of the rare disease I’m suffering.

I am allergic to people touch . It’s cause me rashes all over my body and i face difficulty in breathing. There’s no cure to this disease cause no one have ever heard but it . But a whole team of doctors are working on it . I may even die if my epinephrine injection is not given within few seconds.

Where are my manners , I forgot to introduce myself. I’m Ashley Ambrose.I’m 22 yrs old . I’m the CEO of Ambrose enterprise. My father handed me the company 2 yrs ago . I’m 5’7” tall , I’m mostly on petite side with lil bit curves here and there , i have long hazel brown straight hair , and deep grey eyes . I never really had any friends because of my illness. And everyone thought i was spoiled brat . I do feel loney sometimes, i also want someone to hold me , i also want to experience love . But i will never have any of that . Anyways, i finish my coffee and head to my bathroom. I set water temperature and wait for my tub to get filled . I removed my clothes and submerged myself in water . My body relaxes and i found myself dozing off . I stirred when I heard knocking on my door and heard uncle Claude voice ‘madam you’ll be late for your 9am meeting, I’ll set your breakfast in dining hall’ I heard his retrieving footsteps . I hurriedly got out from my tub and tied a robe around my body and head out . I went straight to my walk in closet . I rumbled through my clothes and finally found the perfect outfit. I wore house of CB chocolate bust cropped corset , Jacquemus off white trousers . I paired it with Balenciaga forced stripped earring, Hermes timepieces nuntucket 18 carat rose gold watch . I pair my outfit with The Row constance leather heels . I took my Fendi baguette and head outside. I went straight to dining hall and sat down as uncle Claude placed food on table . I took a toast and another cup of coffee . I finished and head out . I stopped in my track when I heard uncle Claude voice ‘madam i made ur favourite blueberry muffins , you ate so less so have this’ I smile and said uncle claude how many time have i told u not to call me madam , and thanku I’ll have them when i feel hungry.’ Uncle kept the bag on table and left . I picked it up and head out . Uncle Claude and his wife mary is working for us for 35 yrs . When i shifted here father insisted on taking him with me . He’s very cautious around me . Anyways , i step out and my car was outside. Tony opened the door for me . I slid in and settled myself. Tony is head of my security. He’s like a elder brother to me . Tony slides in the driving seat and greets me ‘good morning miss , how’s your day so far?’ He asked politely ‘morning to you too tony , good i guess’ I replied with a chuckle. 2 other cars followed behind us . I was going through some files when I received a call from my secretary ‘ good morning ma’am, your father is here in your office waiting for you . And your 9AM meeting got canceled’ i signed and said ‘ morning Suzi , I’ll be there in 15 . And i need full report why they canceled the meeting and make sure we don’t do any business with them in future.’ I replied coldly , these fuckers decide to spoil my mood soo early .!! I groaned and closed my eyes and lean back . After sometime tony informed we have reached . I took a hold of my bag and put my sunglasses on . I step out and my guards followed behind maintaining distance. I reached the loby and everyone greeted me . I smiled and head straight to my private elevator. Tony and i went in . We heard a ding and i walked out of elevator and went straight to my office . Suzi again greeted me , she was nervously shaking her legs . I raised my eye brows at her action . What made her soo nervous so early in the morning? Did father say something to her . I opened the door to my office and saw my father’s back .as he heard the sound of door opening he turned to look . His annoying look was replaced with a dashing smile . I smiled at his actions as he pulled me into a hug . He was fully covered , he came fully prepared it seems . He pulled back and hold my hands in his covered ones . ‘My princess , you look so thin. Aren’t u eating well ? Is there some problem? Tell me child .’ I smiled at him ‘I’m fine father . There’s absolutely no problem at all . I swear.’ He signed, i asked him ‘ what brought u soo early in here father.’ He forced a smiled . I knew he was up to something. ‘ my child , i know I’m asking u too much but please don’t say no’ I signed and said ‘ what is it father, I’ll think about it . I promise’ ‘the Radcliffe family is celebrating their younger son’s success. They are organising a grand party regarding it . And as you know Ezra Radcliffe is my best friend. I couldn’t say no to him , he invited all of us there. And requested to bring u along. Please my child accept it this time .’ I couldn’t believe he was saying this , he knows i never went to any party. I don’t get along with people, what if someone touched me ? I couldn’t stand, i took a hold of my table to stable myself. I was having another panic attack. I started seeing black dots. My breathing became uneven. My father panicked as he saw me like this ‘ princess what’s happening, what’s wrong my child ? Answer me . Deep breaths my child please. Follow my voice please. In and out .’ I tried to take deep breathes . My father pulled me into hug and rubbed my back . ‘ I promise you my child nothing will happen to you there , we’ll double your security.I’ll be with you all the time .please my child’ i took deep breathes and said ‘ok father, I’ll go with you . Is it tonight?’ I father happily squeezed my hand snd said ‘ yes child it’s tonight , be ready at 8 . Ok ?’ ‘ ok father , I’ll be ready.’ I answered timidly . ‘ I’ll leave now my child, don’t worry . I’ll be there with u .’ He patted my head and left . I slumped down my on chair . ‘ suzi plz bring me a coffee.’ I Rested my head on my table . I heard a knock in my door . ‘ come in.’ Suzi came in and placed my coffee on my table ‘ anything else Ma’am?’ ‘ no thanku suzi.’ I replied . ‘ you look pale ma’am. Is everything alright. Should I call your doctor?’ She asked concerned ‘ no suzi thankuu and everything is perfectly fine.’ ‘Ok ma’am, I’ll be outside call me if you need anything’ she was about to close the door behind her when I remembered something. ‘ suzi please ask my designer to send a perfect evening gown at my place.’ ‘ ok ma’am I’ll inform him ,any specific requirements ma’am ?’

‘ umm ask him to send something simple. He’ll understand what i want.’ she wrote it in her ipad and went out . ‘ urgh , why do i even agreed to it’

Let’s get over with this day already. I have a feeling it’s gonna be hectic. I signed and started working.
