"But can't help, falling in love with you." - Elvis Presley 『★』『★』『★』 ☞ I watched as she smiled with everyone. She was a nice person, a beautiful one at that. Her name was Aileen, she was new here but she worked well, she got along with everyone. Catrina liked her, and I was glad they got along. Catrina often saw women as competition when they are more beautiful. I was a married woman, but my marriage was fake, for my business. For her father. And I went along with it because I was young and stupid. I didn't think about the consequences before I signed that contract. Aileen let out a little laugh and walked towards me, she let out a smile as she passed me and I felt like a high schooler once again. That smile was beautiful. One of the most beautiful smiles I had seen. She was in the kitchen with me, putting dirty dishes in the sink. This was a day after our business party, and they were cleaning everything up. "You know, a smile a day will keep the doctors away." She said, I'm pretty sure it was Apple but I never questioned it. I turned around to her, and she turned her head towards me. "What's got you all gloomy?" She asked me. "Just work." I said, she hummed and walked to the island. "What about it? I might be able to help." I shrugged, looking away from her. She was too beautiful to look at I might've came in my pants if I looked at her any longer. "I need a new assistant, and trying to convince someone to accept my offer." "Ah, I know someone who could be your assistant. She's young, knows her stuff." She said. Aileen was two years younger than me. I was 27 she was 25. "Really? How old?" I asked her. "She's 20. She's in college but it would not affect her workspace, she's sweet, she likes working." She said, sitting down across from me. I sat down as well, my arms crossed over my chest. I nodded. "Okay, give me her information and I'll give her an interview." I said. That was the first time we ever talked. And I loved it. Months later that's all we did. "Why is it weird that I like Harry Potter, huh?" We were in the second living room, which was small. "I'm not saying it's weird, just unexpected that you of all people like Harry Potter. I pegged you as a 365 days type of woman." She smirked, sipping her wine. I lifted an eyebrow. "Really? How come?" I asked her, wrapping my arm around her shoulders. "I don't know, you just scream dominate." She said. She was confident, never let her words down. She meant ever word she said. "Explain." I said, she looked at me, straight in my eyes. "Every time we talk, you always do that thing with your eyes and your lips." "Whenever we're alone, you always wrap your hand around my waist, or my shoulders." She said, pointing to my arm. "I like it though. But you're married, should we really be doing that?" I sighed, looking down at her hands. I grabbed them with my free hand. "My marriage is complicated, things you don't know." I told her, and we got into an argument about it. She told me how she did have feelings for me, but she didn't want to break my marriage up. I tried to convince her otherwise, that my marriage was horrible, but I never said business deal. we parted before Catrina came home. When she did, I f****d her. Because I was so angry and upset I needed something. So when she heard us, she ignored me. I hated that she did. And I wanted to make it up to her, I made sure to keep my distance when she was ready. And when she was, we acted as if nothing happened. We were both joking around, always talking about what we both would be doing in the future. That is until the night I finally kissed her. "So, what's one thing you could take back in your life?" She asked, we were in her room, on the floor. She didn't like the bed because she was nervous I would pull something with her, luckily I'd do it on the floor too. "Me being married." I shrugged, she tilted her head. And I stared back into her beautiful eyes. "Why?" She asked me. "I'm not happy. She's not happy. She uses me for money, we are nothing truly." I said, she grabbed my hand. "Talk it out with her, get marriage counseling." She said, I shrugged, stroking her hand with my thumb. "I don't want to be with her." I whispered, she looked shocked, staring back at me and then looking down. I got closer, my hand on her chin. "I love you." I said. "Like I've never loved someone before." I told her, she didn't move at all, she just stared. "You make me so happy, you make me realize love is real." My hand that was in her chin, went to her cheek and I stroked it. "I want to marry you, I want to be with you and you only." I said, bringing my face closer. "Kiss me." She said, my eyes widened. "You're not gonna fight me on this?" I asked her, she shook her head. "I love you too." And I kissed her, I had ended up on top of her. I was going to make her mine. I was going to get us out of there and marry her. That is until I heard a voice. "I knew it." We both pulled apart so fast. We looked up to see Catrina standing in the door way. "I don't know if you think I'm dumb or not. But my father's here." She said to me and looked at Aileen once she was sitting back up. "You're a f*****g home wrecker you slut!" As she said this, Aileen was slapped. I grabbed her away from Catrina and got angry. "What the f**k?! Don't put your hands on her!" Catrina smirked. "You're lucky my daddy didn't let me kill her. Or else I would've." She walked out and I grabbed Aileen's face but she pushed herself away from me. "Don't! I knew I shouldn't have kissed you!" She said, I've never felt so guilty in my life. She stood up and so did I, and Catrina's father was standing in the doorway. "You don't remember what I told you, the day of our agreement?" He asked. I was scared of him, I felt like a little girl with my own father again. "Yes." I said. "Yes what?" He said, walking towards me and choking me. "Yes I remember!" I said, he pushed me to the nearest wall and chuckled. "You let that black b***h weasel her way in your life, and you cheated. With your maid. How pathetic." He tightened his grip and I couldn't even get a word out. "You're lucky I'm not killing you nor her!" "Think of this as a little warning, next time this happens, I won't hesitate to kill your nor another b***h you fuck." He let go of my throat and I fell to the floor. "You, come here." He said, pointing to Aileen. I wanted to follow but I couldn't, he choked me so hard my pulse was my vision, my heart raced and every time it did, my vision went black. Catrina followed her father. And that was the last time I had seen her. She hadn't came back up to get clothes, no. She was paid off. I woke up, with a gasp. This is what happened when I sleep. Catrina and I slept in separate bedrooms, so I didn't have to see her face every time I relived what happened. I need to leave her. Fast.
