Cynthia rushed into Gloria's arms as soon as she saw her.
"Gloria... I've missed you so much," Cynthia said, her voice choked with tears.
Gloria was a bit confused. She and Cynthia had just seen each other a few days ago.
She comforted Cynthia. "It's okay, Thia! I'm here now. From now on, I'll protect you! That jerk Andrew can go to hell!"
Cynthia looked at Gloria with teary eyes, feeling incredibly lucky to have another chance to be with her closest friend.
"Thank you, Gloria. But right now, I don't have a place to stay..."
"That's no big deal. Did you forget I've been investing in real estate?" Gloria patted Cynthia's shoulder. "Just move into one of my apartments. I can't stand to see you become homeless!"
Cynthia nodded, smiling through her tears.

The next day, while Andrew was at work, Cynthia returned to the villa and packed up her belongings, moving into Gloria's apartment.
As soon as she left, the butler Nott called Andrew to report. Andrew simply said he knew and hung up, leaving Nott worried and unsure whether to inform Andrew's parents.
The usually gentle Cynthia had a huge fight with Andrew and even moved out.
Because of the chaos at the medical conference the day before, Andrew was incredibly busy. Although they managed to keep the news from spreading, the industry insiders at the conference couldn't help but gossip, damaging Stewart Group's reputation.
When Andrew came home that evening, the villa looked the same, but everything that belonged to Cynthia was gone.
Nott mentioned that Cynthia had moved into Gloria's apartment and asked if he should inform Andrew's parents.
Andrew waved him off, dismissing him, and sat alone in the empty living room.
Since their marriage, Andrew had always wanted to get rid of the weak and clingy Cynthia.
Now that she was really gone, he felt an unexpected emptiness, a sense of loss that took him by surprise.
A few days later, Rebecca, noticing that the drama at the conference hadn't spread, regained her usual confidence. After failing to reach Andrew by phone, she went straight to his office.
"Andrew, why haven't you been answering my calls? Are you mad at me?" Rebecca asked cautiously, standing by his desk.
"Do you believe that video Cynthia showed? It's fake. It's all doctored. Look! I have a report from a professional showing it's fabricated."
Andrew took the report. It stated that the video showed signs of manipulation.
His brows furrowed. If a video could be faked, why couldn't a report be?
He needed his own people to verify it.
Seeing that Andrew wasn't convinced, Rebecca started to pout. "Don't you trust me? We grew up together. Don't you know what kind of person I am? When you were sick, I..."
"Alright, I'm not mad at you," Andrew interrupted, feeling a headache coming on from the stress and Rebecca's complaints.
"Really?" Rebecca brightened up and moved closer to him.
"Ahem, am I interrupting?" A voice came from the doorway.
Rebecca turned to see Cynthia and immediately glared. "What are you doing here?"
Ignoring her, Cynthia walked up to Andrew's desk and placed a document in front of him. It was a divorce agreement.
"I've drafted the divorce agreement. All you need to do is sign it. If you're unsure about any part, have your lawyer look it over," Cynthia said, her tone clipped and impatient.
"What do you mean?" Andrew looked up.
"I mean I'm divorcing you. I already told you about this, didn't I?" Cynthia replied, irritation creeping into her voice. "Once you sign this, we'll both be free."
"What?" Rebecca's eyes lit up. "Are you really agreeing to the divorce?"
Cynthia shot her a cold glance, sneering. "Happy about that, aren't you?"
Rebecca snorted, "You've always used every trick in the book to stay by Andrew's side. Why are you so willing to divorce now? Andrew, don't trust her!"
Rebecca clutched Andrew's arm. "There's probably some scheme behind this. You should carefully check that divorce agreement!"
Andrew didn't react, his gaze fixed on Cynthia, his expression unreadable.
"Andrew?" Rebecca bit her lip, a strong sense of unease washing over her. They had been married for a year, living together every day. Could he have developed feelings for Cynthia?
She clung to Andrew, leaning close to him. "Did you hear me..."
Before she could finish, Andrew subtly pushed her away!
Rebecca's eyes widened, anger and frustration boiling within her as she glared at Cynthia.
"I'm serious," Cynthia said calmly. "I've wanted to end this meaningless marriage for a long time. If you have any questions about the divorce agreement, have your lawyer talk to me. And this..."
She pulled out another document, a resignation letter.
Andrew's face darkened even more.
"Since we're getting divorced, there's no reason for me to stay at Stewart Group. As for the assistant position..." She glanced at Rebecca. "Give it to your beloved Rebecca!"
Rebecca looked excitedly at Andrew, but his expression was far from pleased.
After a long silence, his eyes grew more intense, like a storm brewing beneath a calm sea. He grabbed the divorce agreement and resignation letter and tore them in half!
"You want to divorce me and quit this job? I heard you, but... I don't agree!"
"Andrew..." Rebecca was stunned. In all their time together, she had never seen him like this, losing his composure over Cynthia. That was unusual!
Cynthia was momentarily taken aback but quickly regained her composure. She smiled faintly. "You can't stop me from divorcing you or resigning! You can tear these up, but I'll just print new ones, and you'll have to agree!"
Andrew glared at her coldly. "Who are you to tell me what I can do and what I can't?"
As the tension hung in the air, Andrew's secretary, Kurt, knocked and entered.
"Mr. Stewart, there's an emergency!" His tone was urgent.
"What's going on?"
"It's the Johnson family..." Kurt glanced at the Johnson sisters, looking grave. "They just informed us that Mr. Jerold Johnson is critically ill!"
"What did you say?!" Cynthia's eyes widened in shock and fear.
