I got home to my shared appointment with Emily, I was thankful she wasn’t around I wasn’t ready to face her I walked to my room and sat on the bed still holding the test result in my hand . The tears i held started to fall I couldn’t hold it in anymore i let them fall I started to think about my no so perfect life aside from The Robert’s nothing in my life makes sense .

My parents died and left me all alone , my uncles and aunties took everything they owned leaving me with nothing, they didn’t even think about their Niece not that they cared but I had wished even at the tiniest bit for them to care . I can clearly remember the day they came to throw me out it was raining heavily , they locked me out despite my pleas and cries I stayed outside under the rain for hours thinking they will take pity on me and let me in , I laid down on the rain cold and shivering until Uncle James came to pick me up i looked at him tears streaming down my face he carried my shivering body to this car.

I woke up feeling a little light headed I looked around to see I am in a room not in my house but the room looked familiar, the door open and tiny figure peeped into the room a figure I recognized to be Emily my best friend, she slowly walked to bed staring at me I slowly opened my eyes to meet her she smiled brightly at me and I offered her a weak smile then the events of the previous day slowly came back remembering all that happened , then a voice came in “ Emily where are you “ she opened the door and said “ Emily i told to let her rest “ she walked to us and smiled at me then she said “ oh Raven you are awake how are you feeling?”

I slowly nodded to let her know I was fine she later told me how her husband Uncle James found me under the rain and brought me home and that I have been out for two days , since that day they took me in and raised Emily and I together as sisters and it was the best thing that ever happened to me

After the flashback I laid down on my bed looking at the ceiling thinking how the next months will be
