Today was special—it was the first time I flipped someone off. Honestly, seeing Kate's furious expression felt amazing.
I had long understood the dynamics of Rosewood's girl cliques, so Wolfe targeting me was no surprise. What did catch me off guard was her coming alone; it made me wonder if she was arrogant or simply didn't think I was worth the effort of a group attack.
Regardless, she wasn't worth my thoughts. Instead, I focused on how to beat Javier in today's chess game.

"Two knights' defense, huh?" Javier stared at the chessboard, scoffed, and captured my pawn.
This was expected, but I didn't anticipate his Evans gambit, followed by his rook threatening my queen.
