Today was a smooth day.
I made it through the qualifying match of the National Youth Chess Championship. Three matches, three wins.
Even better, I managed to go on a “date” with Eleanor. We had delicious Chinese food and a great conversation, and I even convinced her to join me at a bar for a while.
Honestly, I wasn’t all that interested in drinking. I just didn’t want to go back to school so soon. Being with her made me feel incredibly relaxed and free, a feeling I’d never had with any other girl.
Eleanor’s smile was adorable, and the way she sipped her cocktail was so charming. Her eyes followed Max’s hands as he mixed drinks, and she even clapped in delight when he made one with an appealing look.
