Lexi's first friend

Lexi's pov

"I'm so sorry" I apologise to the handsome male as I avert my eyes to the ground, turning my heels and bolting to my first class.

The classes were really exciting and I soon forgot about those piercing grey eyes.

It was time for lunch break so I walked behind a crowd of chattering girls as they finally scattered into their different friend groups immediately they got to the cafetería.

I guess being the transfer student, it would be hard to make new friends when everyone had already formed groups. I grabbed a tray of surprisingly appealing food as the lunch lady smiled at me warmly

I turn to find an unoccupied seat, spotting one at the corner of the cafeteria. I place my food down and slowly nibbled on my carrot. It might sound stereotypical, a bunny shifter in love with carrots, but I really love my carrots.

I was too focused in the bliss of my juicy carrot that I didn't notice piercing grey eyes staring at me. I however broke out of my carotene high as I felt someone sit beside me.

"Hey! " said the overly excited female voice sitting in front of me... Was she talking to me? "Hi" I reply in a tiny voice as the female behind me grinned widely, her fluffy ears twitching slightly in excitement

"Hi!" she says in a high pitch overexcited voice. "Im Emerald , it's nice to meet a cute little bunny like you-"

Oh no! I must have let my bunny ears slip out while enjoying my carrot!

"I'm Lexi" I managed to mutter out as I shoot her a nervous smile, unintentionally pouting at the fact that I had let my bunny ears slip.

Emerald let our a tiny squeal noticing my pout, her bright green eyes crinkling at the corner of her dark beautiful skin, her pretty locs bouncing as she bobs her head trying to contain her excitement.. Emerald was the most beautiful girl I had ever laid eyes on

Talking to Emerald was easy, she was really nice and felt comfortable to be around, we talked all through our lunch break and soon became close friends as we walked together to our next class. I'm glad I made a friend.. My first friend
