The Fool, The Dove And The Crow.

When my power laced words spread through the crowd like a wildfire they all started whimpering like little pups, baring their necks to me in submission.

A very sick feeling hit my stomach. It felt like someone let the blizzard air in. The cold wrapped around my body, cressing it in a greedy way. Zapping the warmth from my bones.

They've all been poisoned by Leon's Father's beliefs. You can feel it in the air. The heaviness. It's so thick to the point where you're choking on this thick fog of hate and despair.

A pack is supposed to work like a well oiled machine. If one part fails then the whole thing is done-zo.

It's sad to see how far this pack has fallen. My heart aches for the old Alpha and Luna, not knowing what would happen to their beloved pack after they were gone.

My eyes were still pinned to Leon. Rooting him in place. His blue shocked gaze bore into mine. Pleading for me to release him. I could see the slight tremble in his fingers.

Poor fool. He's lucky that I'm only here to talk business and business only because if it was another Beta or Alpha he'd s**t the carpet like the lap dog he is.

" Now, now, Beta of The Three Lake's no need to treat my son like this. He is still new to his title and position." Goosebumps traveled the length of my arms and neck at this man's dark voice. My eyes snapped to the man to the left of us. I wonder how long he's been standing there. I raised an eyebrow at the creepy man. His scent is off. Very off.

" Keep guard Ryan. He's bad news."

I linked to my guard. I saw as his arms tensed a bit as the creepy man's scent hit him too.

" What is he? I never smelt a wolf like this. It's like- like…"

Ryan kept trying to put his finger on it.

" Like rotting meat. Death itself."

I whispered through our link.

A caw of a crow broke our conversation as the black winged creator swooped in and landed on it’s master's shoulder.

Death is near and it's traveling fast towards us.

Leon's P.O.V

This woman is insane. I never ever felt like this before. She forced me to tuck my tail in between my legs and in front of my pack! How can a Beta do that?! She should only be able to do that with her own pack, not mine!

My fingers were still trembling as her shinny green eyes froze me in place.

She has a lot of power. Raw power.

Luckily my Father broke her gaze so I could breathe again. I looked down and took a deep breath. She had me in a cold sweat too. I looked back up to her.

Checking her from head to toe. She had long dark brown hair that fell in waves around her face and down to her hips, very luscious hips at that. Her arms were wrapped lazily under her well developed breasts. Those mountains of flesh looked like they'd overfill my palms easily. I wanted to knead them so badly. I went back down to her round plumbed ass. Awe yes… I definitely had a hard-on now, because of my wild imagination. I could see myself taking her from behind and riding her till she clenched around me and releasing myself inside her womb over and over again till she bore my children.

I let a wide smile creep across my face as I knew my mission now. Either be by permission or by force I'd have her under me. I kept looking at my prize. Looking her up and down imaging her naked olive tone skin flushed from hours of me screwing her senseless.

Then that Delta prick walked in my view of her, eyeing me with hate. Like the asshole knew what I was thinking about. I'd have to deal with him soon. I gritted my teeth at him. Well his fowle face curled up into a nasty smirk. Well he stood too close to the b***h I wanted to screw so badly. I let out a growl to let the prick know who he was dealing with. He flashed me a grin with a light chuckle. They will pay for mocking my strength. They'll see.

Dove’s P.O.V

I gave the creepy old man a small apologetic smile." I'm sorry about that sir. I know this isn't why I'm here. I'm here strictly for business." I assured him." I'm sorry if I came across as rude." I said well, giving him a slight bow. He let out a dark chuckle.

" I know you didn't, girl." The tone of his voice made me very uncomfortable, but I wasn't going to let him or any of the others see that. Ryan walked to my side and stood a bit close to me without making contact. Thank god, his body heat made me feel better. I'm glad he wanted to come along with me." And I'm also sorry if we came off as rude too." He also gave me a bow.

" My son can be too high on his pedestal sometimes as well. I'm sorry I'm Elder Arthur. Elder Thomas fell ill earlier this year and has passed. So I took over." Right. Sure he did. I heard Leon growl. Then I heard a slight chuckle from Ryan. I elbowed him in the side to hush him." Awe what a shame Elder Thomas was a good man. He'll be missed dearly, but I'm surprised the Elder Council let you take this position and not have another come out to help." Arthur's face went stone hard." Yes, well the council hasn't gotten back to my Father yet so he took matters into his own hands." Leon barked at me. I looked up at Leon and his s**t eating smug grin." Well maybe if I call them since I communicate with them on a weekly basis I can get one to come down to observe your pack's situation." Leon's face was fuming at my words." I think we're good girl." Arthur's voice made my head snap back to him." Please let us show you to your rooms. You must be tired from the long drive." Arthur's words sounded clipped.

" What do you think? Should we call?" Ryan asked as the omega woman came back to retrieve us and to walk us up stairs.

" Yes, of course. Something isn't right here and for the Elders to not step in ten years ago, it doesn't make sense. Especially when the Alpha and Luna were killed. I don't think they were even told what happened to them." I bit my lip trying to get my head together.

This is crazy. How did this all get kept under wraps for so long?

" C'mon Dove, let's get you to your room so you can rest." Ryan said, touching my shoulder to get my attention." You've had a long day." He said well, nudging me to my room where the omega woman was waiting for me to enter. I gave her a tight lip smile." Thank you again." I told her. She gave me a nod." Dinner will be served at six tonight. I'll come fetch you at five forty-five." I gave her my own nod when she closed the door to my room. I leaned against the door to hear the room right across from me open and her telling Ryan the same thing. Good he's close by. I turned around to see my luggage was at the foot of the bed with my backpack on top.

"You settled in all right?" Ryan asked.

"Yeah. You?"

"Just peachy."

I smiled at his words.

"Well get some rest hon. I'll see you at dinner."

He said.

"Yeah, I will."

I heard him chuckle till he backed out of our link. I smiled and chuckled too.

I unlaced my leather boots and sat them in the corner by the bed. What a bad time to wear these huh? I looked around the spacious room that was decorated in reds and golds. It was quite fancy. Really not my taste, but it'll do. I took off my green sweatshirt and placed it on the lounge chair that was next to the bed.

I pulled out my phone and texted Talon.

"Hey Ryan and I are settled in. I'll check in with you with the negotiations and tell you how they're going."

I pressed send and set my phone on the bedside table.

It's been a long day. At this point it felt like there was sand in my eyes. I sat on the bed well rubbing them and a yawn escaped my mouth. Ryan's right I should rest till dinner. I haven't slept well for the last seventy-eight hours. Just a few winks wouldn’t hurt. Not like there was much to do anyways. I layed down and stretched my five foot five body across the mattress. Grunting as my whole body popped and cracked. I turned to the side a bit and closed my heavy eyes and hoped I didn’t revisit the nightmare I was having earlier in the car. Then within seconds I was in a deep sleep with no dreams on the horizon of my subconscious. Finally the rest I needed.

Leon’s P.O.V

I let my hand touch the glass that separated me from my prize as she slept like the dead. I watched as she drifted deeper in sleep as her chest evened out. As her body losend up from each breath she took. As her full lips slightly parted. I clenched my teeth together as an image of those voluptuous lips sucking me off plastered itself to my mind. As she took my full length in causing her to tear up well her pleasurable moans vibrated down my shaft. I had to press the heel of my hand to the bulge in my pants to adjust myself to relieve some of the pain down there.

“We should just take her by force!” Jona my wolf shouted through my head.

“You don’t think I’m planning that!” I shouted back to him.My claws started to retract out because of him.

“Hey you need to calm down mutt! We need to get rid of that Prick of a Delta first.” I said to him well, getting a grip of the wolf to push him to the back of my mind. He growled at the mention of the asshole.

“We can kill him!” I rolled my eyes at the beast.

“ You’re like a caveman. Me wolf. Me kill. You moron.” I said to him, he turned his growl to me.

“Hold your tongue human or you won’t like what I do to you.” I scuffed at him.

“You can’t do anything to me if we’re in the same body, idiot.” His growls intensified as he starred in my head. It felt like he was slamming himself to each corner of my mind, clawing and biting at it. It was killing me, as pain erupted throughout my head. I gritted my teeth as it became too much.

“Okay okay okay! I get it now!” I told the little s**t. I didn’t realize that I was leaning against the double sided mirror. I had to squint my eyes as some of the pain came from there and the other from the temples of my head. I saw a couple drops of blood landing at my feet. I was in shock to see a wolf actually do that, cause actual pain to their other half.

“Don’t test me human for I have more power than you.” And with one last growl he put himself in the back of my mind. I whipped my bloody nose. I knew I couldn’t do that again. s**t.

I looked back at the woman on the bed. She shifted in bed again and I had a clear view of her cursed bra. I reached out and touched the glass where she was at again. I chuckled and I felt my lips turn up in a smile.

“Soon you’ll be mine, little Beta. You hear? Mine.”
