Elena's (POV)
That's not possible. I'm nephilim? This can't be true.
"That's... impossible. I'm just a regular human. Stop lying!"
"I can prove it to you. Do you want to see proof that you're a part-angel?" He said making one step forward
"An angel's source of power is something called grace. If they have children, that grace is passed on to them. If you're a nephilim, you will have grace in you."
He touches my forehead, making me dizzy.
Suddenly, I felt a fire blazing through me and I was engulfed in golden light.
Logan looked at me shocked "MY GOSH..."
and Thomas also titled his head towards me "NO WAY!"
Is this light... coming from me?! IT IS!
The light fades away and everyone around me looked amazed.
"That was truly beautiful to witness." Logan said.
"But... if I'm truly a Nephilim, why don't I have any powers? Why haven’t my powers awakened?” I demanded. “If I’m Nephilim… why do I still feel like this? Like I’m less than what I’m supposed to be?”
A flicker of something passed through the Reaper’s face — not quite surprise, but close.
“Because,” he said, voice dry as bone and sharp as his blade,
“You were never meant to awaken in this timeline.”
My breath caught. “What does that even mean—?”
He took a step closer, shadows crawling around his feet like living ink.
“You are bound by a blood-thread that never should have existed. Your power is sealed… waiting, When the mask of doubt no longer fits,” he said, tone dark but thoughtful. “When you stop begging for power… and start claiming it.”
Logan’s snarl rose behind me, but I didn’t move.
“Some Nephilim awaken through rage,” he continued, circling slowly. “Others through love. Some... only when everything they fear finally comes true.”
A pause. A smirk.
“But you, girl... your blood sings in silence. Your power will come not when you're angry or broken—”
He stopped, voice dipping lower.
“—but when you trust that you were never powerless at all.”
My breath caught.
The Reaper leaned in just enough for his voice to ghost over my skin.
“You weren’t supposed to survive, Elena.”
“And the longer you live… the more reality will twist to correct itself."
He tilted his head.
“Your emotions are the key. Your focus, the blade. But your belief?”
He raised a bony finger.
“That is the lock. And until you unlock it… you will always feel human.”
I didn’t speak. His words clung to the air.
"Now, Logan, my terms are clear. I'll break your bond and, in exchange, you will give me Elena."
Before Logan can respond, Luther breaks the door and bursts into the cave.
"Logan, take Elena and run! Maximus is working with Tristan. He's on his way here now!"
Before Logan can grab my hand, the ground beneath suddenly turns to water, which rises rapidly.
I gasp and struggle to stay afloat as Maximus aims his scythe at Logan.
"LOGAN! WATCH OUT!"
"AAAAAARGH!"
Maximus stabs Logan with the scythe, much to my horror. Thomas, in his 'wolf' form, swims towards him hurriedly.
"SAVE LOGAN! PLEASE!"
A dragon suddenly grabs me, and I realize it's Luther.
He leaves me outside Indulgences and I desperately look at his dragon form.
"Luther! You need to go back for Logan and Thomas!"
The dragon nods and takes off again.
I was desperately waiting for luther and after minutes I saw him coming but my eyes were only searching for Logan more to my view I saw him coming with Logan and Thomas.
"Thank God! Logan! Are you okay"
Right then Annarose and kassandra came from nowhere with their cars.
"Elena, come fast we need to go"
Luther took Logan and we finally reached The Mansion...
