The Girl I Met..

1123 Words
Logan (POV) The First Meeting – Ding. The elevator doors creaked open, half-jammed like everything else in this cursed building. I could’ve stopped it, probably. But I didn’t. Not because I couldn’t—because I saw her. She stormed in like a spark caught in the wrong forest. Wild, frustrated, breathing heavily like the world had just tried her patience for the last time. She glanced at me once. Just once. Then rolled her eyes and muttered, "Typical. You could’ve at least held the door, jerk." A smirk twitched at the corner of my mouth before I could stop it. Her words bit, but they didn’t sting. In fact, I was amused. She didn’t know who—or what—I was. That was new. Most humans can’t meet my gaze without flinching. She did. And she didn’t even care. Elena. I didn’t know her name then. But her eyes—those stormy brown eyes—felt familiar in a way that rattled something ancient in me. I tried to avoid her so many times but ended up falling more And then she saved my life, I fell harder. I could’ve saved myself. But she pulled me back. Blood. Her blood. It smeared against my hand. Against the floor. Against me. And just like that— The mark. The ancient, forbidden, impossible Blood Moon Binding awakened. I felt it—like fire sliding into my veins. My power tangled with hers. My soul… tugged toward hers like it had no choice. And I froze. What. Have. We. Done? I should’ve left. I paced the old library ruins, fingers burning where her blood had touched mine. The mark hadn’t faded—it was pulsing, alive. Like it had a will of its own. I’m a vampire. A Vampire Prince. We don’t bind with humans. Especially not like this. Especially not someone like her—chaotic, reckless, bright in a way that burns. And yet… I can still feel the heat of her fingers on mine. The panic in her breath when she thought I would die. She saved me. No one saves me. I clenched my fists. I wasn’t angry at her. Not really. I was angry at myself. For letting it happen. For being drawn to her. For wanting her when I shouldn’t. She doesn’t know the danger. The kind of hell this bond could bring. And yet, I can’t leave her alone in it. Not now. Not after what’s been sealed between us. We will try to find the solution both.I can't leave her at this point when she needed me the most. I turned on my heel, heading back toward the edge of Bloodwood Forest. I needed to see her. Not to fix this. Not to erase it. But because—until I decide what comes next—I have to make sure she’s safe. Even if this bond goes against everything I’ve sworn to protect… Even if I hate how much I already care. --- The locator spell burned like ice along my wrist. Her blood was still fresh in my system—enough to summon the tether between us, to feel her presence like a whisper against my skin. She was near. Laughing. Then silent. A wedding? Of course. Humans always found reasons to celebrate in the face of chaos. I stepped through the teleportation veil, landing just beyond the glow of fairy lights strung across the garden. Music played softly in the distance, muffled by the hedges and moonlight. And then I saw her. Standing alone beneath the night sky, barefoot in the grass, her dress brushing against her legs like starlight woven into silk. She was looking up, at peace, her lips parted ever so slightly as if whispering to the constellations. My breath hitched. She didn’t even know she was dangerous to me—in a way that no one ever had been. The bond between us stirred violently, and for a second… I wanted nothing more than to sink my fangs into her neck and feel her heartbeat on my tongue. But I didn’t. I held myself still. Even if every nerve screamed for her, I wouldn’t violate her like that. I’m not a monster. Not anymore. Then she turned, sensing me before seeing me. The bond again—buzzing like a quiet song between our souls. She blinked. "I’ve been feeling weird… like I want to bite someone. Or… drink blood. Am I—" she paused, her voice almost a whisper, "—am I turning into a vampire?" I stared at her for a second. Then laughed. Not the kind of cold, elegant vampire laugh the council prefers. No. A real, surprised, unfiltered human laugh. "You're Not turning into vampire! you need to die for that to happen." Her eyes widened. " Mr. Logan?" She tilted her head, confused. "How did you find me?" I smirked. "Magic. Blood. Bond." "Just because I bit you doesn't make you a vampire. It's such a stupid cliché." She frowned. “Why are you laughing?! I’m being serious.” Her eyes widened. "Excuse Me For Not Knowing! I've been through a lot, okay? The least you can do is be nice." I wish I could be but I couldn't give her hopes that I couldn't full fill. You may not be turning into a vampire, but something worse has happened... “We're blood bonded, now" I explained, "W-What does that mean?" She asked. I tilts her chin up to meet her eyes and gently runs a finger along her neck, “which means sometimes, especially when the moon is high, you’ll feel what I feel. Hunger. Rage. Longing.” I paused, voice dipping lower. “thirst.” A soft blush colored her cheeks, but she held my gaze. "You will live as long as I live. But more importantly, in my world, as my blood-bonded human...You're officially mine. And I can do whatever I please with you." W-WHAT?! I nodded slowly. I wish I could tell her that, That’s me craving you. Your blood, your heartbeat, the chaos that lives in your eyes. You’re not cursed, Elena. You’re just… connected to someone who is a monster I don't deserve it. Little Blushed occurred on her face, she looked extra cute. I can sense what thoughts coming to her mind. "Having interesting thoughts?" "Absolutely NOT!" She replied trying to keep her calm. I smirked, "Your red cheeks say otherwise." She bit her lip, trying to process it all. “That’s kind of... terrifying.” I smiled. “Terrifyingly hot, actually.” I looked up at the stars with her. If we’re going to be stuck in this mess, might as well enjoy the view now and then.
