“What do you think of our visitor hon?” Clara asks her husband.
“Well, I don’t know him but, i feel he’s a good person.” Clara added.
“Yeah, i think it so.” Ben agreed to his wife.
..”And, he is handsome too. They’re match with our beautiful Yana.” Clara giggled.
“Shhhh!!!..not too soon.!..I’m after of Yana’s welfare. He’s still a stranger from nowhere we don’t know yet. We need to know him better before we match him to Yana for our daughter’s sake.” Ben protests.
“Of course hon, that’s correct”. Clara comforted him
Oliver decided to thanks Yana’s family before leaving. He ordered Sam to prepare small gifts and food for a small celebration on his second life. He asked Inang Lena to tag along too and she agreed. She wanted to see him right away when she heard his accident.
Meanwhile, in the guest room, Oliver blankly stares at the window, he lose his self- control a while ago. He can’t resist Yana’s magical beauty. He sighed for a moment. He feels the cold wind breezes coming from outside. He felt relieved and refreshed. He slightly forgot of his bitter situation. He is in that state when suddenly the rain showers plunge the open windows. The wind blows stronger. He stand to close the window. THE WEATHER IS GETTING WORST, Oliver noticed the weather outside.
It’s been late in the evening when Oliver’s nanny, Inang Lena, called Oliver that it’s impossible for them to reach his location tonight. They can’t pass the way due to heavy rain and traffic along the way, because of flash floods and landslides. The weather is quite bad this time. Oliver understands them. He let them stay for a night at their location for their safety and continue to travel for the next day. He texted Yllana to inform that his family could no longer come tonight.
IT’S OKAY, INANG, TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF! I MISS YOU! TELL SAM TO DRIVE SAFELY, I’LL WAIT YOU HERE, BYE! Oliver ended his call.
Honk..!!! honk..!!! honk..!!!!
Yana is awakened of the loud honk of a car outside. It halted in front of Yana’s gate. It’s been six in the morning but Yana has no plan to get up. She slept late last night. Until now, she can’t believe that a stranger kissed her. He’s different. She blushed of her thoughts last night.
Clara who usually wake up early, is watering her plants at the garden when she heard the car noise. She look at the entrance to find out. It’s unfamiliar vehicle, who stop in front of their gate.
GOOD MORNING! WHAT CAN I DO FOR YOU? Clara greeted the two person who just come out.
A not yet so old lady step down.
GOOD MORNING TOO. I AM LENA, WE ARE LOOKING FOR OLIVER SALVACION, IS THIS YLLANA’S HOUSE? she asked.
“YES, OLIVER IS INSIDE. I AM CLARA, I’M YANA’S MOTHER.” She introduced herself. PLEASE COME IN!
“YANA, WE HAVE VISITORS!” Clara called her daughter.
Sam and Inang Lena get inside Yana’s house. It’s a simple, neat and clean old bungalow house. The flowers bloomed and well cared. The garden view is really nice that refreshes everyone’s eyes and could ease stress far from the city buzz.
She remembers the villas and old Salvacion’s Mansion’s landscapes are well cultivated too. She missed her plants in the mansion. It’s been months that she gone home.
“INANG!”, Oliver excitedly called her nanny who is like a mother to him.
Oliver! She hugged him tightly. She really misses him too. She can’t hold herself to cry when seeing to his situation.
“Oliver laughed! I’m still alive Inang!, don’t worry!” Oliver assured her.
“Thanks God, He is ao good to let you alive.” She then look at the lady besides Oliver.
HI! YLLANA, right? Lena asks her.
YES, I AM YLLANA, YANA FOR SHORT. she smiled.
YES INANG, SORRY, I FORGOT TO INTRODUCE YOU. BY THE WAY, THIS IS YLLANA, and THIS IS CLARA, HER MOTHER AND BEN, YANA’S FATHER. Oliver introduced them one by one. While, YANA, MS. CLARA AND BEN, THIS IS INANG LENA, AND SAM MY BEST FRIEND, Oliver continued. They nod to each other as sign of acquaintances and greetings of their first meeting.
Inang Lena felt akward when Oliver introduced her as her mother, but she ignored since Oliver asked them a favor, she needs to help him for his safety.
“GOOD MORNING YANA AND BEN, NICE TO MEET YOU. WE ARE HERE TO PICK UP OLIVER.” We are forever grateful to you and your family.
THANK YOU FOR SAVING OLIVER’S LIFE, YLLANA. Sam also thankful to Yana’s family for accommodating Oliver.
“Yes, we can't thank you enough for your quick thinking and bravery. Oliver is lucky to have you in his life.” Lena said.
“It was the least I could do. Whoever witnessed in that situation will lend a hand to help. I’m glad that he’s alive and okay now. Please take care of him and be reminded of his medication properly on time.”
“We will, Yllana. Thank you again for everything. We'll make sure Oliver gets home safely.”
While Oliver became silent the whole time. He just listen and less talking. Sam noticed of his friends sadness and silence when they arrived. He caught him sighed while glancing her. Is he attracted to this young lady? It’s not far since Yllana is such a beauty. Sam thinks a good idea to find out.
Yana and her parents invited them for a sumptuous breakfast. They exchanged their ideas and greetings. While Yana help her mother to serve them their food. Oliver just watching Yllana. He answered some of his companions questions but his mind and eyes focusing on Yllana.
“Oliver, please be reminded of your medication, everything is written inside the box including some reminders.” Yana reminded again Oliver.
WHAT A GOOD NURSE HUH, Sam teases Oliver then slightly elbow secretly.
Oliver glared him to stop Sam.
Sam just smile back at him and winked. You have crush on her, right?
“INANG, it’s early, how about we stay here for a while to celebrate Oliver’s second life with his saviors before going back home?” Sam suggested as planned.
Lena look at Sam who smiles mischievously. She understands what he means. Then she looks at Yllana for approval then to her parents.
“Is it okay to you all guys? YLLANA?” Lena asks their consent.
Yes of course, we’re glad that we have you today. Ben agreed.
Sure, Yana said happily.
That’s a nice idea, Clara agreed too.
Oliver was magnetized to this place. He instructed Sam to get the gifts and foods he ordered. They celebrated with Yana’s family who always welcome them.
“Yana, Oliver have chance to talk Yllana. About last night, Oliver stuttered..
Forget it Oliver, that was accident. Yana said.
I had a great time last night, Yana. Oliver confessed.
Yana’s face turns red. Oliv..she wants to protest but no words came out from her mouth.
“Yana” Oliver hugged Yana. I will miss you.
Yana is speechless. She can’t holds herself anymore, back off. He’s just a stranger. It’s too early for this Oliver. She said to herself.
“We don’t know yet to each other.” Yana detangled him.
“Please take care.” She kissed him to bid goodbye! She then leave. She ran to her room and secretly cry. She almost forgot her heartaches because of Oliver, but now, she’s broken again.
Oliver followed Yana in her room. Yana, please!..let me explain. Open the door.
The door swung.
“It’s okay Oliver, just promise to take care yourself when you’re home.” she reminds him.
“Of course, Yana, I will. Thank you so much! I won’t forget you.”
Oliver hugged her again but this time Yana hugged him back. She can’t hold enough. She let her feelings freely.They feel comfortable to each other.. She set aside her doubts. Oliver wanted to stay but he needs to fix everything he left unfinished.
After the accident, he realized that he must face the problems and accept what will be the outcomes. He promised to Yana to come back here so soon.
