Chapter2-Bitter Fate

Elise's POV “She's a rouge” “She looks like a witch.” “How could one be this beautiful?” “She should be burnt.” The pack warrior dropped me to the ground and dragged me by my wrist, not concerned by my gender. Exhausted, I fell to my knees, pulling my hands from his, but I was slapped again, and again, each slap harder than the next. Frightened, I got up shakily and wiped my tears. The pack warrior continued dragging me, almost tearing off my clothes. Ashamed, I wrapped my other arm around my chest, covering my n****e from the sights of the hungry beasts. The pack was huge, people walking around with smiles on their faces. Why won't they smile? I mean, why wouldn't they have a big, wide smile plastered on their lips? They've got a home, where to sleep, where to rest and a place to call their own, and me? I blinked back my tears as he roughly pushed me into what I supposed to be the pack house. He tore a part of my cloth and tied up my hands, dragging me further, “just hope you don't meet the Alpha.” he smirked, pulling me as fast as he could. Catching up to his steps was hard, and having my feets on the cold, marble floor sent a shiver down my spine. Being in here was cold, but I was mesmerized by the beauty of the whole place. “She's a rogue, oh my God, she looks miserable.” A young girl commented, as she walked away in her maidy uniform, I suppose. I sucked in a breath, shaking my head slowly. Soon, rouges would have everything they call theirs. While the pack warrior dragged me towards a dark corner, a young man suddenly ran towards us, sweat glistening on his forehead. He paused, his gaze lingering on me, “The Alpha wants the rouge.” “How did he find out?” The pack warrior growled, tightening his grip on my hands, “Tell him I'll take care of it. I'll make sure she's tortured.” “The Alpha wants to see her.” The young man insisted, tapping his feets on the ground impatiently. Deep down, I was quite excited the Alpha had called for me. Killing me now was better than being r***d by numerous men. The pack warrior pushed me forward, into the arms of the young man, “suit yourself.” He spat as he walked away. “Please, let me go.” I breathed, raising my head to stare at the young man. He raised a brow, his gaze frightening and intimidating, “trust me, if I had the power, I would have killed you on the spot.” He said calmly, dragging me no less different from the pack warrior. After being dragged for a few minutes, the young man stopped before a large wooden door. He knocked for a while before pushing me inside. I fell to my knees, letting out short gasps as I raised my head. “You're the rogue caught lurking around the border of my pack!” A sharp, stern and fierce voice pierced through the air and I shivered, feeling like I was being questioned in a high court. I swallowed hard, lowering my gaze, “I..” “Do you think a worthless being like you can speak?!” The old man, which I suppose to be the Alpha, yelled, taking slow strides towards me. He stood before me and I was forced to raise my head, “Just like your creature. Sly and deceptive.” He smacked my cheeks, then the right and the left again. I spat out some blood, my vision blurry and hazy as he rubbed his arms on his pants, “Take her into the dungeons.” While I was about to be dragged, the Alpha raised his hands in the air, “Wait.” He stepped closer, walking around me in circles, “tell me where the rest of your camp is. I'll kill them all and spare you alone. What do you think?” I rolled my eyes, “I move alone!” Everything was starting to get on my nerves, Including the old hag standing in front of me, “If you're going to kill me, then do it! I really don't care about what you and your f*****g pack members think!” Suddenly, I was pushed to the ground, beaten like a hard criminal. The pack warriors slapped, s*****d and made sure they left bruises on my skin, “don't speak to the Alpha that way!” each of them growled, not stopping with the beatings. These men continued for a while before finally coming to a stop. The Alpha raised his hands, perhaps asking them to stop, “Take her to the dungeon and prepare her for her execution.” “When would that be?” A warrior asked, his arm wrapped around the nape of my neck. I swallowed hard, worried about being beheaded, but the Alpha cared less. The elders around stared at me with disgust, anger written all over their faces. The Alpha strode towards his throne, crossing his legs as he stared at me from after, “Tomorrow of course.” he smiled, his eyes glued on my face, “get her dress changed and throw her into the dungeons. Make sure she's starved, thirsty and ready to die.” His words made my heart clench, but I knew better than to speak now. This was my fate, the fate of any rogue alive. I lowered my gaze as I balled my hands into fists. Crying wasn't an option nor was it a solution. I inhaled a shaky breath, wiping my face on my sleeves, “I would gladly die for my people, but the fact that I did nothing wrong would be on you.” “Take the bastard away!” With no waste of time, I was dragged away like some criminal. I was exhausted, short of breath, wounded and thirsty, but they didn't seem to care. Each of their eyes were filled with lust and nothing more. I'd thought I'd seen the worst, but when I was pushed into a caged room, my mouth ran dry. Taking a few steps backwards, I shook my head slowly, swallowing hard at the sight of the weapons before me. A thin, frail figure picked up a dagger and took slow strides towards me. My eyes widened in terror. I turned in a swift movement, slamming my hands on the cage, but the warriors were already gone. The frightening figure approached me, his features hidden by the darkness. He wrapped his bony figures around my neck and inhaled my scent, “You're my meal now, delicious. You'd die anyways, why do I have to feast on your corpse instead?”
