"Jose Mateo!", Mateo's steps come to a halt as an unfamiliar voice called out for him, he promptly turned to find the model standing before him. She was shorter than him but somehow her unique aura rose higher than his height. He immediately stretched his plump lips into a muffled smile, faking it, and doing a good job at it.
"Hello....How may I....help you?", Mateo awkwardly asked, stuttering a bit before he completely delivered his words earning a chuckle from the lady's side.
"Uh yeah- since I'll be living here, It's better to start to know each other better right?", But shouldn't you be knowing Alessandro better? Mateo mentally slapped himself as he nodded and started walking. He was still not sure if he was supposed to spill the entire tea to her so whatever she asked, he decided to leave blanks.
"So uhm, since when are you..two married?", Tiffany stared at his face, to detect lie if he uttered one, her fingers tangled together.
"Uhm....... Almost a ...week?", Mateo was surprised how he didn't remember but the girl didn't stop asking questions.
"Oh so it's still new!", She sounded relieved, making Mateo doubt her intention but eventually shrugged it away. She seems nice... "How old are you?"
"I'll be 19 soon...", Giving an awkward smile to the girl before he realized he was being too rude not asking back so he added, "And you?"
"I'm turning 20 this October, don't forget to wish me!", She knew she was trying too hard but to destroy him entirely, she needed to get close to him so he could trust her. She felt like a b***h on the thought but competitiveness won her over. The innocent boy just chuckled on her reply, he was enjoying the little conversation since it had been days when he last had a proper conversation with someone. A conversation about him. "So..... was this a love marriage or-", Mateo quickly corrected her.
"Arranged", He wanted to say 'forced', 'contract', 'punish' and other brutal words but he didn't, still not used to being around the lady. He could swear he heard her sigh in relief and mutter something under her breath but he just shrugged it away.
"How is the marriage going?", The lady asked but before Mateo could stutter an answer, a grave voice replied for him........incorrectly.
"Great. You have a problem with that?", they promptly turned to meet Lorenzo Alessandro's blazing eyes, Mateo gulped sensing anger in his tone. "Now if you could excuse him, I have some business with my wife". He plainly added as he took a baffled Mateo's wrist and walked on, ignoring the fact that the boy was not as fast as him because of his still injured foot. Blood rushed to the slender boy's cheeks as they turned a crimson shade on how Alessandro's little words, his little actions made his heart beat stop, although they made no sense. He knew he shouldn't be feeling this way but the boy couldn't help it as the thoughts came rushing to his brain.
It's just an act, Jose Mateo, stop getting fooled. Have you forgotten about Natalia? You surely have. You've indeed forgotten about her possible days here......her suffering in this mansion with the guy she never loved, in his world. You've taken her spot for her better so why are you so disappointed with what you got? You were just petty for wishing her return. You do know that you just ruined your life right?
Whatever, I hope wherever you are, you are happy. I can bear this for your happiness sister...
The tall heir slammed the door shut behind them as they entered his room. With it, all kinds of return to his previous state got fastened to his back too, his past. As the taller heir turned and pierced his brown orbs into the younger ones, an anticipation of gentle words rushed over Mateo, him almost collapsing at the thought as Alessandro spoke.
"I want you to listen to me carefully". He was, Mateo's entire body was attentive to his grave voice, his own orbs staring right back at his. He was unassertive of what was to come but he didn't let it show
on his face. "I want us to pretend to be lovers".
