Lisa POV
We made it to the exit just in time and safely made our way to the freeway.
“So where to now?” Chloe asks nervously.
My visions have normally shown me a glimpse of where to go next and would occur before we were tracked down, but in the past 3 years, we have not had to leave abruptly, since we lived in a very secure estate in the city which supernaturals would never do.
I inhale and try to focus on where to go next, so I finally get guidance from my dragon Issa.
“Head to Hartees, we will have to be in the woods for now until we have a plan on where to go next,” I said.
Chloe, Dean and Dora, all give me the same facial expression which is full of doubt and fear, but being the princess comes with being obeyed even if I am wrong.
“The jungle it is then”, Dean says, trying to lighten up the mood.
Chloe opens her mouth about to say something but she is quickly met with Dora’s don’t you even dare stare and she decides against it seeing that it would be better to drive than to fight against 3 people.
Chloe connects her phone and starts playing Jhene Aiko’s music while focusing on the road
With a satisfied tight smile Dora turns to face me, takes my hand in hers and squeezes it.
I return her smile with my own and simply nod to let her know that I am sure about this.
We silently stare out the window, already dreading being in nature.
Don’t get me wrong, we love being close to nature, it gives us a chance to let our dragons out but it will be harder to keep our dragons at bay since it has been so long since we have let them out, this only makes it easier for us to be spotted so it will take a lot of effort to try and not get caught.
,,,,,,,,,,,,,
You are so creative
The way that you're makin' love to me
You do me like no one's ever done it
That is why I want it all the time
I don't want your heart or your love
Just do what you do to my body
I just wanna - that is all I want (Jhene Aiko-Living the flow)
I am woken up by Chloe’s singing
She is singing so loud that Dora has a scowl planted on her face
I smile at Dora to get her to relax so she doesn’t disturb Chloe’s happy moment
I take a quick glance at what is happening in the front seat, Chloe keeps glancing at Dean as if she was dedicating the song to him, whilst Dean nervously smiles at her and aviods eye contact with Chloe.
Dora also sees the exchange that’s taking place in front of us, she rolls her eyes and goes back to looking outside her window
Get ready (oh, yes, I'm ready)
Now we're on (And if we're on)
I said I'm ready (I said I'm ready)
Hold the phone (please hold the phone)
Get ready (oh, please get ready)
I am on one (oh, I am on one)
Where you be at? (where you gon' be at?)
Later on (later on) (Jhene Aiko-sativa)
Chloe is practically screaming now am I am very much bothered by this as well.
I turn to Dora, knowing she is about to give Chloe a piece of your mind, but as she was about to say something, the song stops all of a sudden.
Chloe continues driving hoping the song will continue thinking it's probably loss of connect and it will continue playing once the connection gets better.
After a few seconds the song Halala by Jazziq plays and we all turn to Dean who is staring outside the window as if he didn’t just disconnect Chloes phone by connecting his.
Chloe just ignores it and continues driving, while everyone is happy with the song choice we continue in silence.
Don’t get me wrong we all love Jhene, its Chloes singing that ruins everything.

Its gotten dark and the road to Hartees is very bad, filled with pot holes.
Dean is the one driving now.
I see a few paths that lead into the forest and I try to focus all my energy on which one to head into hoping we had not already passed it.
I closed my eyes and took a deep breath, I can feel my eyes glow and after 15 minutes of driving I finally see the path we are supposed to take.
“Turn right at that opening ahead and follow the path till it ends” I say with a raspy voice indicating my dragon is in control
Dean doesn’t respond but everyone tenses up when we turn into the path, it is a gravel road and it is pitch black.
The tension in the car gets thicker and thicker the further we go into the forest.
After 2 more hours of driving, we get to the end of the gravel path and the way ahead is blocked by trees.
I fall into a trance, feeling the magic swelling around me and letting it lead me to where I need to go.
I step out of the car and everyone seems to follow, I take a deep breath and I instantly calm down.
I start walking with everyone following me close behind. This forest seems to be moving but I am captured by its beauty, a sense of dejavu hits me instantly and I know what's about to happen.
Doing exactly what I had done in the vision I finally see the magnificent tree, it looks even more beautiful up close.
I absentmindedly reach out to touch it forgetting what happened in the vision and I am pushed back by a force. Blood trickles down my nose, the metalic taste hits my mouth and I wipe it off with the sleeve of my shirt.
Learning from my mistakes, I take out the pocket knife that I always carry with me from the pocket of my jeans, and cut the palm of my left hand.
Reaching out my hand and touching the tree I chant silently “thula o mpuelele” multiple times and the fog that I had not paid attention to clears up.
Dora, Dean and Chloe all look like a mess, their hair looks like they have been hit by a tornado and they are crunched down with their hands on their knees breathing heavily.
“What, were, we, fighting?” Chloe asks while catching her breath
“Whatever it was, it almost killed us” Dean says
“What is this place?” Dora finally asks as she looks around flushed and in awe of the beauty of the forest.
“Lisa, what's the plan from here though?” Chloe asks making sure to cross her arms and do her signature mean girl pose
“Even when you are surrounded by the most beautiful beauty created by God you still can't help but ask stupid questions” Dora says to Chloe
“We do not have time for that right now, Lis do you think there could be a stream nearby?” Dean asks ignoring the cat fight that is about to take place in front of us
Before I answer, there is movement around us.
We form a circle facing outward and get into our fighting stance.
We have been so distracted that we did not hear the movement earlier, normally we would be able to hear, and smell anything from miles away thanks to our heightened senses.
There is a hint of rosewood.
“We are in a werewolf territory” Chloe says with fear evident in a voice
We were always taught that every supernatural species has a faint but distinctive smell, and the werewolves mostly smell like rosewood which blends in with the forest but our heightened senses help us sense their presence.
“How many?” Dean asks, his voice sounding more deep than it normally is.
Knowing the question is directed to me, I close my eyes and focus on listening to what is going on around us, I can hear many heart beats but I focus on the ones that are moving closer to us knowing that the smaller animals are running away or trying to hide which helps me assume the number of wolves that are coming towards us.
“9, they will be here any second so we cannot run, let's try to communicate and hopefully we won't have to fight” I said
I am hit with the smell of rosewood, magnolia and vanilla, my hope rises hoping that that is my soulmate which mean there might be other dragons in the area who might also be close by, probably also sensed us and may be on their way to help.
We are surround by massive werewolves
I am like 5 feet and a couple of inches tall, but the werewolves were about 6 foot tall almost Deans height.
All the werewolves are now circling us, one of the werewolves shifts into his human form and a muscular guy with blonde straight damp hair that’s stops just above his shoulders walks towards us b*tt n*ked and stops just a few feet away.
As he is about to address us, he stop in his tracks and 2 pure black werewolves jump right in front of me. They look exactly the same and they start sniffing the air and both of them growl at us.
The rosewood, magnolia and vanilla scent is insanely strong and I sniff the air.
My eyes widen
‘Oh no’ I scream in my mind.
