Chapter 29 Thy’s mouth crashed down on hers, and it wasn't a kiss of welcome. It was a kiss of plunder, a raw, possessive claiming of territory. His growl of "magnificent trouble" was a vow, and she met it with a low sound of her own, her fingers tangling in his hair, pulling him closer. The kiss was a battle. A clash of wills. He was the king, and she was the defiant queen who had dared to take his throne. He broke the kiss only to lift her from the chair, his hands spanning her waist.
