Every movement I make hurts, even breathing is painful.
On top of getting burned, smashed and scratched, I also took a pretty bad tumble. My body is going to take a long time to heal properly. What I understood from doctors after I came out of surgery, it hadn’t been easy to get me all stitched back up and depending on how things heal, I might need another two or three surgeries before it’s all over.
At this point, I’m just glad that I’m alive, that we’re all alive. We probably won’t be going anywhere fun any time soon and anything more than watching TV or reading is probably not in the cards for many of us for the time being, but we’re all alive, and that’s better than we could have hoped for.
