As I sit down on the bottom steps of the stairs, watching people carry our bags inside, I nearly fall asleep.
Damn. I hadn’t realised how exhausted I was.
But that’s what only sleeping for three or so hours and then having a really busy morning will do to you. I can definitely feel how much rest my body still needs. Though, part of that might also be from no longer being used to all the commotion, having so many people around at once. Since we’ve all been mostly confined to our own hospital rooms for most of the time.
My eyes have nearly closed when footsteps come over and then a quiet chuckle makes me look up. Cyra looks down at me, a soft smile on her lips and I reach up, tugging on her arm and making her sit on the step under me.
