Alexander POV
I wake up to my beautiful mate wrapped in my arms. The past few days have been filled with laughter and family. Training is going great and the new recruits are getting stronger by the day. Mal has been working almost non-stop on the last battle plans walk-through with the generals. I have a feeling that she is keeping something from me but I am not going to push her to tell me. She will tell me when she is ready and I won’t push her to say anything she doesn’t want to. Mal starts to stir in my arms and I look down at her as she wakes up. My eyes collide with her beautiful eyes and I lean in for a kiss but I'm stopped by a hand covering her mouth.
“Why did you cover your mouth? Can I not kiss my beautiful mate this morning?” I ask while looking at her like a sad puppy. S
