Every swing, every hit of their swords brought more pain in his tired arms, legs, and gut. Erys clenched his jaws, wrenched his aching muscles, and gripped his sword tighter as he parried his opponents’ attacks. He could feel his body breaking apart. But he had to keep fighting.
