Sophia had little appetite and only nibbled at her food.
Laura cleared the dishes and the small dining table and brought Sophia a cup of warm water to take her medicine with.
"Ma'am, it should be taken after meals."
Sophia took her medicine and drank half of the warm water. "It's getting late. You should go have dinner."
Laura dared not let Sophia stay in the ward alone. If anything happened, Benjamin would surely fire her.
"I'll leave once the caregiver arrives."
Sophia wasn't one to mistreat her servants, especially since Laura had been taking care of her these past few days.
"Go have your dinner. I want to be alone for a while," she ordered.
Laura, not daring to go against Sophia's wishes, hesitantly agreed, "Alright, I'll go have dinner then. Call me if you need anything."
