IRIS.
Seeing Enid from the balcony had lifted my spirits. After spending two days alone in my room with only maids to attend to me and nothing else, it had driven me to the verge of craziness.
I stood by the door, waiting for Enid like a puppy waiting for its owner. It was quite unusual for me to feel this excited but I was starved of company and I needed one now. I didn't mind who it was. I just really wanted to spend time with someone.
And when Enid knocked, I twisted the knob and immediately admitted her into the room, with a bright smile on my face.
"You couldn't wait, xoj you?" Enid laughed as she walked into the room. A maid walked in behind her with a basket in her hand but I was the least bothered, focusing my attention on Enid. She looked really beautiful today.
